Default HID issue

So I am having trouble with my HIDS. I think its ballast related but I am not sure. I can't remember the company I bought them from. I believe mobilehid, I was just wondering if someone could help me trouble shoot. I am really not sure what information to give everyone. Sorry for not giving enough information, but I will supply anything I can when you ask.

What is the exact problem with the HID's? Are they flickering, not turning on, something else?

To determine whether or not it is a ballast problem, swap the bulbs from one side to another. If the problem switches sides with the bulbs, you have a bad bulb. If it stays on one side, it is the ballast.

Here is exactly what happened. I had a bulb flickering on one side. Pulled the bulb. Bulb was blown after it wouldn't turn on the one day. But that day I did that the right bulb worked perfectly. So i pulled the left bulb went and got a normal light bulb but with the ballast setup I have it required 2 new regular bulbs till I got my new HID bulbs. So I unplugged all my wires that were required to hook my normal bulbs into my headlamps till my new bulbs came in. Got my new bulbs in, went to hook everything back up. Nothing came on. Thought it was a bulb problem since my ballasts worked before I pulled them. So sent those bulbs back got a new set of bulbs and they didn't work. I swapped the bulbs 2 times. Now when I go to plug the power into the ballasts I can hear them turn on but nothing happens as far as them lighting up.

I am really hoping its a wiring issue but I don't know where to begin really. I had a friend help me check them out who is a little better with wiring. I just want to try and get some help before I determine these ballasts are bad.

You probably have the polarity reversed. The noise you're hearing is most likely the car's relay, not the ballasts.

No its the ballast relay. It only happens when the power supply to the ballasts connects.

x2 for this. The slim kit I have(HIDextra) that's one thing I don't have to worry about from how it all goes together.

What causes the lights to flicker? I have a set from hidextra, and they flicker.
