Shaved....the shaved reverse and the scion logo makes it look so clean!

I love it!

I like the shaved look too but you'd need the Rumion tails to get a reverse light.
Also, in the rear window there will be a "bump" from where the emblem is located so it wont be perfectly level as shown in that picture. this will make it look like somethings missing.

now wouldn't it be cool if you put the reverse lights in the tails and still did the dual cutouts for the reverse lights in the bumper and routed a dual exhaust through those?

I thought about just routing a single exhaust out the reverse light hole in the bumper, but if you look under the rear end, you will see metal chassis framing behind the bumper that is in the way. Nice thinking though.

Default blocking the way?

Is it really the chasis? I thought that was just the bumper frame; haven't really gotten under to check it out, but good point either way!

WOW!! i love the shaved look! in fact you just gave me an idea to do to mine. that is gonna look sick if you shave that. I think im gonna shave my bumper and go with tailights with reverse in them. that looks so much better

how much would something like that cost? plus with the new taillights?

Good luck with that. I'm not sure if you've planned on using an actual second reverse light, but it won't work. The OEM reverse light has too many curves to it and you can't just simply turn it upside down.

My recommendation if you want more lighting in reverse is to purchase the TYC tails and modify them. Swap out the turn signal bulbs with some white ones and do some rewiring. It wouldn't be difficult at all.

...or just get the Rumion tails for about the same price - no rewiring necessary.

Getting the Rumion tails and bolting them up isn't just that simple. The above mentioned xB with the Rumion tails had to make fillers because there was a gap. If you don't mind gaps bigger than Letterman's teef, than by all means scoop them up. But there is also rewiring needed.

Quote from the cat with the Rumion tails:

I've seen a couple other people with the Rumion tails, and none of them mentioned gaps, although I don't know for sure. Even so, Letterman has done OK with the gap.

maybe he's talking about the big gap that would be left in the bumper; but that wold be taken care of with the shaving that was mentioned earlier! :-) I personally like the oddball reverse light; kinda keeps a balance to the exhaust tip unless you are running dual exhaust...
