As far as metal shavings in the header it shouldn't matter as already stated it will just blow out the tail pipe. I'm going to give my wife the info for the header for a Father's Day present so I should have that installed soon as well. I got an email from eBay today an my intake should be here Friday!

I'm a little skeptical bc it lists the whp as 125, where the tc usually has around 145, therefore I am lead to believe that the tune is very different which could adversely effect the hp gains. Essentially I'm not sold that its a 1:1 ratio of power gains.
Either way 7 or 11 whp for $70-80 you can't beat that.
Also is the gen 1 tc considered "high revving"?

Well I got the intake in. Next up is either the header or port and polish the throttle body.

Does porting and polishing the throttle body really do much? Dumb question, I'm sure...

If done correctly, it completely changes the feel of the throttle (greater sensitivity), if incorrectly, it can ruin the throttle body.

Got a dyno graph to back this claim up?

I'm sure there's a DIY on here somewhere. I'll have to find it and try to dedicate a weekend to do it.

Search the forum for scionfreds throttle body port and polish, its a good read. It lists all the do's and dont's of the mod. I highly doubt I will have time but if I do it this weekend I'll take pics and report back the butt dyno results.

The way I look at the ebay header is even if it is a silmilar design to stock, it was one MAJOR difference.......no catalytic converter. That alone should really help the engine breathe a little easier. I may be wrong but I think its also molded after a brand name manufacturers header.

I read through all 12 pages... and I found the $63 intake on ebay. But I am not seeing the headers. Maybe I'm blind. I have a 2011 xB. Im more interested in overall better perfomance and mileage more than attempting to go fast in this box. Any help is appreciated.

Search ebay for 'ILOVETACOTACO' headers.

Perfect. Thank you. And no reason it can't go on a 2011? It says 2008-2010. But I assume nothing has changed?

Yeah, I noticed it saying 2008-2010. I don't think anything changed, but I would either wait for others to chime in or emial the ebay seller and have him confirm.

When I did it I searched headers then used the tabs on the left to narrow down everything to my car

Installed the intake the other day. For $63 I don't think you could ask for more. I value to cost ratio is nice. Instructions would have been a little helpful but got it figured out quickly.

Has anyone used raceland coilovers? I found them and saw some reviews. I know they aren't going to be as good as $1500 coilovers, but for the $ to performance i think they're good.
Anyone?
