Default Headers + scuba tank removal = holy hell!

That shiz's HELLA LOUD!

I have a strup header
stock s-pipe
custom made 2.25" scuba replacement pipe with nothing in it.
and a Strup catback (includes muffler)

it was hella louder than what I thought it would be. I'm tempted to put my stock one back on.

I'll try to make a video of it.

i figured it would be hella loud too... looking at the size of the damn thing it must have been ridiculously restrictive power and sound wise..

off topic:: you going to show at HIN? i am showing..

I am still thinking of removing the scuba tank, but I will put an 18" resonator in its place.

Do it. Then make a video so I can decide whether or not to get a resonator :D

Hehe, I had like a 22" resonator on my tc, it was still pretty loud though, so I dunno how much an 18" is going to do. It will probably only quiet it down by a few DB. Right now I have strup header and exhaust with the factory midpipe and I like the way it sounds, not too loud, but I dunno.

Before I added the midpipe with Strup header and catback alone, it was almost stock sounding. That scuba tank has a lot of shiet in it.

Well, sound is never a representation of power, otherwise most of the civics on the road would be 200hp You also hear a lot of echo since it is in a bay, but it is still loud. Also, if we could achieve 200hp with an exhaust, I think that company wouldn't be able to make them fast enough. 159 is decent though, since that's basically up to crank output.
