To answer my own question from this post, the filter number I listed above isn't even close to the "F1" or "F2" filters. The "G1" is much larger in length and diameter. Fortunately, they do fit my truck.

Until I find a reliable source for 0w20, I will be using the Toyota synthetic 0w20. Sort of pricey, but the dealership is close by. I stopped at both Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts today, and neither had 0w20 in any brand or formula - so I headed to the dealer and picked up 5 qts and a filter.

The filter my local dealer had in stock is the "F2" filter. I'll probably order the "F1" filters in bulk from TRDSparks in the future just for the extra filter area.

This is my first oil change in the xB2, and I am going to go 5000 miles between changes. I don't mind spending the extra money for synthetic for my own piece of mind. I distrust dealer service too much to even let them touch my car for the free oil changes.

I have run Mobile 1 synthetic in my Mitsubishi Galant VR4 (turbocharged) running 18psi of boost every day, and last time I had the valve cover off, the top end still looked brand new. THis is with 151K on the stock engine. Made me a believer in synthetic oil.
