Default Bose Subwoofer Installed Inside Spare Tire

Hello guys, I'm back after few years missing.

Just got a 2014 xB with only 14K miles on it.

It comes with leather, heated seats, lumbar and is really clean.

Just added a Subwoofer in the spare tire. It is a Bose and it comes with a decent amp as well.

The sound is fantastic and I didn't loose no room in the cargo area.

Do you have any details on what parts were used for this. I'm interested in doing the same thing. Thanks

Nice! I've been looking into subs for my xB. I was thinking about either getting two subs under the front seats or getting one installed in the rear area. But that looks like a really nice set up. How are you liking it so far?

The Bose brand is no longer manufactured. Cerwin Vega also made them but don't know if they still do. The Bose brand in particular is vehicle specific however any model that fits inside your inverted spare wheel rim should work.

They're not real powerful but neither is the stock radio. Likely comparable to the stock tC sub woofer with 5" speaker and ~40 watt amplifier.

The setup is super easy. The hardest part is to find the speaker wiring colors. I'm using a front R-+ and a front L-.
Cable fused directly to the battery and another wire for the power (accessory).

This type of subs comes in Infinity vehicles and some top Mazda models. My 2018 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring comes with it too.

Look on Ebay, they have them FS there, I seen it.

The sound is fantastic and it makes any crappy stock radio sound much better.
It is powerful, it shakes the entire cargo floor and the rear view mirror too, but I don't like my music too loud, I enjoy a great sound instead of a loud noise.

Let me now a=if you have any questions.

BTW, some of those subwoofer DO NOT have an amp inside, MINE DOES. So make sure the one you get does come with one inside.
I have used this sub on different vehicles thru the years and always made a huge sound difference.
