Wow this is alot harder than I thought... I cant even get the solder 2 melt enough so I can pull out the LED or I cant even use my braid cuz there is so little space...

Ok I give up >.<!

I dont know if my solder iron is 2 weak or wat but the leds aint coming off

Anyone can recommend a good resasonable priced solder Iron I can buy at like Home depot or lowes or something...

I usually get a small drop of solder on the tip of my iron first.. then stick that to one side of the existing PLCC & get it to go liquid while lifting that edge with my fingernail.. then that one side will come loose & it'll stand up on an angle with one ....side off... then grab the up-raided LED & touch the other side & it'll come right off.... after it off. use solder wick ( braid) to remove all solder from the board... .... put a fresh drop back on. .... then also put a drop on each side of the LED BEFORE you tthen attach it to the board......... good luck......... jh

Ohhhh dannggg..... So I put all my panels back (w/o the new lights) and when I turn my car on everything works... But Now I cant change my little LED screen... The one that tells the time and MPG... Its stuck at Instant MPG and I cant change it 2 anything else... should I not put on my LEDS for now and take it in 2 scion and ask them wats wrong lol?

Im gonna try 2 take it apart one more time and see if theres any lose connections 2mrw... But if its still acting up... Idk!!

you may have that long black 'push button' jammed... look to see if it's free of the clear plastic piece that it goes through..

there are 3 leds behind the small screen & 6 leds behind the larger screen. if you dont change those, they will remain orange ( your digits)....
I saw a thread that has you scraping off the paint (red) off the needles & laying a new stripe of different color paint on..... that's the only thing I have ever seen about changing needle color.. you physicall have to remove the red paint & replace it with the color of choice...,,
to quote DJFROZONE.aka captian Butterknife......., authour of the Butterknife Mods....... """Post Pics or it DIDNT Happen""".............jh

well they are not blue but it doesn't make a red hue around like if i kept the orginal ones in. im thikning i may go back and turn on those guage signles on the 4th gauge to blue (mostly warning light things )
