Cool door speaker interfers with locks

I installed a set of Alpine SPS600 speakers in my 2008 xB front doors. After I installed them I started having problems with the door locks. It would re-lock by itself immediately after I unlocked the using remoter or manual push buttons. If I opened the door from the inside it would lock immediately after I close it.
I removed the left speaker and the problem went away. The speaker is not touching anything inside the door. The Toyota dealer told me that they suspect that the speaker magnet is causing interference with the controller.
I put the stock speakers back in and the locks work fine.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced that.
I am thinking of putting in a strip of stainless or aluminum to see if I can shield the magnet from the controller.

I tried putting the alpines back in today without luck. I had removed the controller from the door panel so I could try to shield it. I put in the speaker and as soon as I moved the door toward closed the door locked. I tried both Alpines in case there was a problem with one of them. this occurs with the controller unplugged and removed. So it is not caused by interference to the controller. The door lock actuator is near the top aft side of the door. nowhere near the speaker. I am really stumped. the only thing near the speaker is a wire bundle that comes into the door. I tried shielding them without success.
Something about those Alpines. I have no problems with the stock pioneers installed.
Whats really strange is that I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem

Unfortunately, using steel or aluminum won't provide any magnetic shielding. You need to use mU metal for that. It comes in sheets but is pricey.

You didn't say if it happens to both doors or not. If it's just one door, it may be pinched wiring (insulation cut thru). The clue is that as you "moved the door toward closed the door locked". I would suspect that if it was a speaker problem, it would occur as soon as the speaker was placed in it's mount, not just when the door was moved.

actually I did use an mu metal strip. I bought it on ebay. A 2" by 20" metal strip for 25$ I wish it would have been enough to surround the speaker but it wasn't.
I have checked and doubled checked the wiring. I also tried putting the Alpines in the rear and they are ok there. Also tried both Alpines in case one of them had a problem. It only does it on the drivers door I think. I'm not sure where the remote sensor is located but I'm guessing under the dash. Maybe the Alpine magnet is interfering with that.
Anyway I guess I am going to have give up on Alpine. Maybe try another brand.
