First off, I'm glad that this place is STILL around! I was here when Scion was still making vehicles.
Second, I am the proud owner of a 2008 xB RS5.0 and I have a bit of an issue. I am trying to install new speakers in the rear of the car
and bought the following attachments from Crutchfield (Bracket) and I'm not able to figure out how to get them to... attach... to the door.
Has anyone done anything with these and able to give me some pointers?
Third, I will be posting in the intro forum here after this, I just wanted to ask this before I forgot lol
I recently installed a pair with the same brackets. You have to use a drill and drill out the rivets holding in the old speakers. That will expose 3 holes once you're done that should line up with the exterior holes of the bracket. You're gonna have extra flanges that you just break off.
Depending on the speaker you get, the holes on the bracket might not line up perfectly. I just had to line it up as good as it would save drill straight through the plastic. Still holding up good.
