Default Stereo not loud after battery replacement

Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this issue. It's driving me crazy.

I have a 2008 xB with a stock stereo and sub. After the original battery finally died, I installed a new battery and then the sound on my stereo went to ____.

Before the battery replacement, the sound system was awesome. When driving around with my wife, I would normally put the volume on 20 and turn it down to 15 when we were talking. When she wasn't in the car, I kept it around 30-35. Now I put it on 30 and we don't have to turn it down to talk as it's lower than 20 was previously. Also, the volume doesn't seem to increase with the speed anymore.

I figured out how to turn the sub back on so that's working, but the main problem seems to be with very low sound coming out of the speakers in the back doors.

I'm not very technical when it comes to stereos, so please dumb down any answers you may have.

after removing you battery to replace for a new one , all your stereo settings were erased. you need to go into the audio settings on the radio and fine tune till you are happy.

SSP button. It's probably Set to neutral instead of Hear or Feel.

My factory stereo defaults to vehicle type "tC" and I had to change it to "xB" (my ride).
Power off the radio, then press and hold multi-**** to enter the Setup Menu.
Turn multi-**** to select car type, or subwoofer on/off, or enter a custom greeting message.
