That's weak. I can swap an xB radio in 5 minutes, tops. Tell the dealer you want to hear the sound system before you buy.

It's not really a big deal. Just so long as it sounds as nice as the stereo in a Mazda 3 I will be content.

I have the premium hu and just put in a infiniti amp w/a 12" Sony Xlplod DVC..sounds pretty good for what it is. I have a pair of infiniti 10's that are going in soon as well as infiniti door speakers.

If I did it, I'd get some sort of an amp and a JL Audio 8W7. I listen to fast metal so the accuracy would be worth the price to me.

Do you have any pic of your system set-up

No. It's just a big box sitting behind the back seat, with the speaker facing the back door. Under the passenger seat there's a little amp.

That's entirely up to you. The sound from the stock speakers is what it is. If you're OK with it and want more bass, then add a sub. If not, replace them and amplify as necessary.
The stock speakers are really bad. I ended up replacing all of the stock speakers and you can't believe what a difference and how much better it sounds! I also installed a low-profile Kenwood powered sub under the passenger seat and added infinity tweeters in the upper rear door panels. If you upgrade, you will be really, really happy with the sound improvement. With the Kenwood sub, you will NOT get neighborhood pounding bass, but you will definitely rock inside the vehicle!
