Under Dash LED spliced to dome light??? ANSWERED:)
UPDATE: I got it working, lol, i forgot about the resistors being on the positive line
...all i did was tap onto the wires in the install guide for the door sills using t-taps and hooked up some leds from autozone ($9 for a four pack) and now i have under dash lights when you open the doors.
I'll post pics tomorrow

Ok... I've run out of patience trying to google around the web for info on this so here it is...
I wanted to get some small LEDs from Auto Zone, ect, and put them under my dash and have them come on automatically when I open a door (like sliced with the dome/door sill fuse). I'm have no idea how to use a multimeter and I've exhausted my resources looking for an "add-a-circuit" for the LOW-PRO Mini Fuses our box uses.
So, basically I'm wondering if anyone has done this yet or knows of any DIY out there that may be of some help.
P.S. if it helps i already have all the inteiror lights changed out to LED so the draw from that is already reduced...if that makes a difference...lol

Here's something that might help: http://trdsparks.com/install/00016-79810inst.pdf
It's the PDF installation guide for the illuminated door sills accessory, since the door sill lights come on when the doors open then that must mean they draw power from the same place you will want your LEDs to draw power from. I think the wire you want should be on page 8 of the PDF. Hope this helps some.

hey schpadoinkle i'm trying to do something very similar, but can't seem to get it to work, i'm trying to get an auto dimming mirror with map lights to hook up the same way but to no avail. I've followed the guide that sanchezhacker posted up as far as using a t tap to connect @ the #5 wire in the 6 pin connector but for the life of me it's not getting any power it seems. Do you have any pointers or have any install pics? any help would be appreciated.
