how many miles do you have on your current xb?

i totally agree with you on the mileage - i recall getting north of 30mpg in mixed driving and between 36-38 mpg highway on my gen 1 box! my biggest complaint about the 08 xb was the gas mileage figures when they were first released...

my favorite memory was from driving my xb1 from kittery, maine all the way down to manhattan in the summer of 07 i think. i filled up the tank in maine, had the a/c on blast the entire way, and i remember still having A LOT MORE than a quarter tank remaining! that was a ~280 mile trip...

that's a tough call but since 97,000 miles is like half life (or not even!) of an xb, i say keep it like you said - until it dies. besides, since you already have an xb, you should wait until they redo the bodystyle to get a new one :D

when i bought my 06 box, i had planned on keeping it FOREVER because I loved that car! but i made a bad choice, and traded it in for the most problematic new car i've ever owned (the 2010 e350)... i really regret selling the xb.

I just remembered something from some concepts shows a while back. Even though I am not replacing my Xb again (accident), but if Scion release the concept of the HAKO, they previewed a few years back. Putting that in production could bring some style and some younger people back to Scion. Loved that concept vehicle. Just need to get rid of some of the sharp edges and maybe make it a four door.

 

that is a very good point, lophat. on their concept cars page (http://www.scion.com/concept_cars/ ), they've literally gone into production with all those models with the exception of the hako.............. the frs, the new scion, the t2b have all come into production....

no worries - follow this thread bc i plan on adding all 2013 xb related information i come across before the car is actually released.

i am going to call my dealer next week and ask if i can place my order... i am still undecided on the color... i loved my white 06 and now im leaning towards getting my 2013 in white as well... first planned mods include adding a sound system like i did on my previous box - nothing insane - maybe a nice 12" sub + amp.... i dont want anything to mess with the electrical system and battery so much... my 1st box had a 12" mtx sub and mtx amp and it was PERFECT for me. we'll see what happens... i already contacted my audio guy. :D

yeah, completely different than what's on the 2013.

 

Doesn't look like much has changed since the refresh in 2011 models.

 

I'm curious to see what the interior pieces will look like.

still owe like 9k on mine though, so not really sure what I'd end up paying when all said and done. But I'm sure my salesman would just if I even mentioned it lol

 

man im happy about this. however i still hate the new bumper designs. ever since they changed the look on the 11' ive never been a fan i think the 08-10 model look waaayyyy cleaner. but thats jsut me. i sure am glad its coming back for another year and hopefully it keeps coming.

This does look 99.9% like last years and a couple of the points in the "leaked email" don't really appear to have made it into the model...
