Default Anyone peel out yet?

Just the other day a friend and I were following each other screwing around. So at a light I did a little peel out. Spun the wheels a little but when they caught traction I heard a thud. Don't know if this was from the suspension or had something to do with the traction control. I didn't like it at all and won't be doing it again. The car is fine, no problems. Did smell the rubber from the tires though. Just wondering if anyone has peeled out and if they heard that same thing?

i peel out at least once every day since i've gotten my car.

although for me, it probably has to do with the fact that I've been spoiled by AWD traction. I haven't driven a non-AWD car for 9 or so years. also probably because i'm getting used to driving a manual tranny car which i also haven't driven in 7 or so years haha.

No thank God it wasn't that sound. I'm think it might have been the suspension unloading cuz I let off the gas kind of hard and the whole car shifted back. I really don't think it was a big deal but it just kind of scarred me.

yeah that probably was the traction control kickin in. Hold the traction button until a light shows that it is off. Then try it again. I was able to get some impressive peel outs with the xb

You actually only have to press once on the TRAC/VSC button to turn off the Traction control, to turn both off press once, release, and press in again and hold it for three seconds.

just pressing the traction button only shuts it off till you hit 30 mph. holding it turns it off till you turn off the car.

I felt the clunk too. my vsc was off as well. peeled out through 1st gear and shifted into 2nd, continued to peel out and then felt a big clunk. Scared me so i pushed in the clutch and calmed it down lol. not trying that again lol
