One really wonders about folks stealing the stock engine cover and the temporary spare.

Hope you get everything sorted out with minimal further hassle.

Take care

I like the MSW 19's, but since you pulled off all the black window vinyl the 20's will probably look better.

I agree. It's not difficult at all to replace the whole thing. IIRC, on the + terminal, there's 2 wires. One goes to the fuse box, the other goes to the alternator. On the -, there's 1, IIRC. That just goes to chassis ground. It shouldn't be hard to actually replace the whole thing.

I'd want everything to be back to how it was. That's what insurance IS FOR.

i want everything back the way it was.... now the wires that need to be replace are not sold seperate... they are part or a harness thats not cheap... so the insurance wanted them splice.... not putting up with that

You shouldn't have to. You want it back to stock how it was before the theft. It's not your fault it was stolen. Insurance companies are supposed to help people, but seldom do they do...

body shop also said that when he puts on my tires he's going to inspect the underbody to see if there is signs of paint damage so that can be taken care of too

opps.... so i was gonig to work, mind you i only work .9 miles away.. i turn down the second street i take and i come across a tan chevy impala with the same rims, turms out they are mine, down to the blue stem covers.... waited about an hour and a half for pd to show up... the arrest the guy and tow the car away... they took the rims off. they turned my car on but the sensor light would not turn on.... so after about min they finally got the light to turn on, placed the rims on the car and the light turned off..... now i have to move, dont feel safe. im sure this guy had something to do with the rims being taken because his story just didnt add up... so i placed a 30 day noticed to....i really dont feel safe here... knowing that they know where i live.... in the 3 or so weeks they had the rims, they curb the crap out of them so insurance said they'll get me new ones and they'll keep the old ones..... woh would of though i would come across my rims especially a few blocks away...... so now im looking into have the black tape put back on the car, the one around the window and also thinking of having the front blacked out also to change the look of it a bit...

Excellent!

I agree with you on getting out of the area and changing the look of your vehicle when you do.
