To tell you the truth, that bluish look reminds me of those hid look a like halogen bulbs. I like the white brilliants of the corvette hids 4000k vs the slightly bluish 4300k.

I think its more of the projector lenses that give the bmw that bluish, not the bulb color. Most hid upgraded cars I see, the hids are BLUE and look like a car with those cheesy blue halogen bulbs, except they flicker at a high frequency since they are hid.

With projectors, you'll get color with any bulbs. With reflectors, you need higher temp bulbs to get color. People buy 6000K+ for projectors because they don't understand that the coating on the cutoff produces color, not the bulbs (bulbs do, but there is no point to have color being produced twice).

Whenever you see a picture of a cutoff from HID+projectors, you'll always see a massive amount of color right at the cutoff. That's the color being produced by the cutoff itself.

This is the closest shot I have to the actual color of my HIDs. I have 5000k bulbs, but I'm switching to 4300K this week, as I've already ordered a new set of bulbs.

I tried both 4300k and 6000k hid on my car side by side and I prefer the 6000k.
4300k is a little brighter but a warm white color. 6000k is cool white color and seems to make reflectors on the road/signs look better.

^ That was my understanding too. Its a difference between warm white and cool white. Given that reasoning, I've grown to be quite fond of cool white over warm white.

I'll be taking quite a few comparison shots. I'm installing a 4300K kit in my sisters tC, and I'm going from 5000K to 4300K in my tC, so I'll have halogen vs 5000K vs 4300K, and I also have a 5000K vs OEM 4300K (Evo 9) that I never posted. I'll start a new thread after I install them.

Here is a comparison of aftermarket 5000K to OEM 4300K.

Just shows how much a dramatic difference there is between OEM and aftermarket. Even aftermarket 4300K don't come close to comparing to OEM HID bulbs.

I bought Mobile HID 5000k and love them. I like the actual light color of 5000k a bit more than 4300K. Plus I think it matches the SW paint well.
4300k or 5000k will leave you very impressed over stock bulbs.

Oh and I had a Lexus IS-F next to me the other day and they are running lower than 5000K. I could tell the difference clearly when looking at the road in front of his car versus mine. But it was hard to tell the difference when looking in the mirror at his head lights.

If your projectors are blinding oncoming traffic, that means they're poorly adjusted, which is your problem, considering you're losing a TON of lighting by having them pointed up.

^ Yeah, true there. I believe all projectors are adjustable once you have them mounted in there.

Quick question, what kind of projectors do the Mercedes C class run? And are they better than TSX's?

No they are adjusted correctly just they are so bright people think my brights are on.. I am not trying to be mean to other drivers just saying I am sure a ton of people dont like them!!

So...since OEM 4300K bulbs are about twice as powerful as your 6000K aftermarket bulbs, why is it that everyone isn't blinding everyone?

Your lights aren't 'bright', they're misaligned.

They're not misaligned... He needs to remove the squirrel finders. I have 8000k (mistake, btw...) and with the OEM projectors in the xB, there's mad glare above cut off. The OEM halogen projectors aren't the best for HID. Yes, they will work, but a full on retrofit is better.

Just my opinion... If I had the $$$, I'd do a retro in a heartbeat. Stock projectors suck.

bego, bake your headlights, remove squirrel finders, and you shouldn't get flashed anymore.
