well i've tried going 115mph on my brother gen1 stock and it wasn't that stable but then when he upgraded with I/H/E along with suspension mods his car picked up to 122mph. so ever since i've got my 08 blue xb i've hit 110mph many times until ealier this month going up to SF on the 5N i maxed at 131mph. when i hit 131mph my car have roughly 9k miles on it. first i thought the top speed would be much higher coz it share the same engine as the TC and i've thoght maybe its my car. then i've traded my old blue one in for the new gold rush yesterday and last night 12.30 am on the 2fwy i did 129mph so i know this car is stuck at that speed. but the great thing about the 2nd gen is it's so stable at that speed. cant wait till my injen cai come then i'll try this again.

116 in my gen 1. 121 the gen 2. (On a closed course of course.)

To do much faster, you REALLY need much better tires and suspension.

I bought it right when I got the B. I wanted to see the difference from stock, and if the tranny was able to handle it. I had to get a new one on my supra because i got a turbo with a little bit too much *****. Better safe than sorry. I'll upload pics when i get home. Im in the UK right now doing a presentation.
I'm really waiting on that TRD SC to come out though.
I'm not huge on turbos unless its the supra haha. Im running a Stillen Stage 3 in my G35 right now, and the Supra is cranking out about the same HP twin turbo'd and the SC just feels more reliable and alot more powerful than the TC.
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

your 20 have all those cars and know nothing about them???? and why in gods name would you take out a turbo to put a piece of crap sc in it are you retarded

end rant

j/k xB owners.. love you guys

08 xb has a drag coefficient of .32 which is exactlly the same as a Mclaren f1, VW Golf GTI and Scion tC.

guys that don't know what they're talking about.. love you guys
and you know what you multiply that coefficient by, dont you? frontal area. im pretty sure the xb's frontal area is a lot bigger and a mclaren F1.

i did a year of fluid dynamics, in my undergrad, my major was Physics and math. it's virtually impossible to look a car and determine how aerodynamic it is. Something as small as a tiny body mod can improve or destroy the aerodynamics of a car.

my previous car, a VW new beetle had a Cd of .38 (w/o spoiler), with spoiler it's 0.28.

However, there is more to the force of drag, than just Cd. just like you mention Area is very important.

The fact that the xB and the tC have near identical EPA millage est, that shows that Scion/Toyota has done a great job with the aero of the xB. When you consider that its much larger and a tad heavier, and have near the same top speeds.

I love my xB2

its not just the aero that makes the xbs mileage, the xb is heavier and gets better gas mileage then the tC, not because its more aerodynamic then the tc but because the engine is tuned for better gas mileage and in that they sacrifice some power, notice the xb has a few less horsepower then the tC, even though its the "same" engine.

I haven't been over 120 in my XB yet. The fastest I've ever gone was 155 in my 87 Mustang GT and that was scary above 130.

I won't even try. Lowered, the XB2 is a real nice highway slider at 80+.

155 is fast. Before I hit the big 70 I want to build an 8 second fox body. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMu7tG4AJvU

So the other day I hit 88 mph. I was instantaneously transported back in time to 1955...
J/K

Fastest I have gone is 118 mph.

Went 178mph on my Yamaha FJ 1100 back in 1995, that did it for me guys!

My RS6 has seen 95 several times, but it only has 1200 miles on it. I want it to break-in more before pushing it too hard.
