Remember, during the winter/cold months, you will get CONSIDERABLY less miles per gallon than during the warm months...the physical properties of the gas change during the winter, making the gas less efficient, and the car takes longer to warm up during the cold months, which again kills gas mileage....this has happened on every car Ive ever owned....

1st thing I would personally do if all of a sudden my mileage drops dramatically is clean/replace the air flow sensor in the air box....if that thing gets gummed up, the car will EAT gas even more than normal...

Duh!

2.4 liter motor hauling 3000 lbs shaped like a brick = schitty gas mileage

1.5 liter motor hauling 2400 lbs shaped like a brick = CONSIDERABLY BETTER, most would say excellent gas mileage
