Serious, bro? It's a little expensive for what it is, IMO...

I'm pretty sure the Fujita, Weapon-R, etc will fit the 2011.

Trd parts are vastly overpriced...check out my ebay parts thread. Been a few months, still all working just as well as the crazy expensive trd parts....only much, MUCH cheaper.

x2!!

I have had my TRD intake Version 1 since day one on my 08 xB and love how its a ram air system. At the time (2007) i paid $300 installed at the dealer and have never looked back since, but this new TRD Version 2 is a bit over priced for only getting an elbo and TRD top air box to cover your OEM lower box. Seems to me your paying more for less, only plus i see is how much easier it is to clean the filter when needed. i Say go Tenzo, Injen, weapon R or AEM true cold air systems that can also me switch to short ram. Im 98% Sure you will have any problems with fitment.

I dont see the point of this intake, its not a cai. Why cant the '11 xb not use the 08-10 version? The only thing that doesnt work is the bumper vent right?

Should very definitely deliver a significant gain over OE. Only question is how its performance compares to that of the original TRD CAI. Hopefully, someone will perform a measured comparison.

It takes the air from inside the OE vented fender (don't know if the 2011 vents are open or not but even if they aren't, there are holes at the bottom) so it does function as a CAI.

Couldn't you just dremel some holes in the 2011 vent? Cheap, easy and you would never notice it!

I actually see an advantage to the higher located inlet pipe, it eliminates any chance of hydro-lock -- the original CAI doesn't.

An aem bypass valve was created for JUST that reason! (Benefits of a CAI, without worrying about hydrolock!)

Yeah, but it costs a few dollars . Personally, I like to dig a bit deeper into the left fender (just modified my intake piping accordingly ! But I still see some positives to the new TRD solution! I really don't think it should be disregarded out of hand.
