Low fuel indicator came on around 1/8 guage this time!
Strangest thing, the low fuel indicator has previously always illuminated around 1/4 tank, but last fill up I don't think it was even as high as 1/8. Anybody else see any shifts in this indicator's behavior?
I'm almost always super easy in my xB2. Occasionally a situation requires something more, but that's the exception. Course, I'm used to getting passed by practically everyone -- never could see the point in getting to that next red light any faster
! Seems like cars keep getting more and more powerful, and as they do, traffic light launches and accelerations get quicker and quicker -- personally, I don't see the point (especially at gas pump time
)!

Thanks guys! It sounds like if mine has shifted, it's still in the neighborhood of the common experience. I don't normally go by that light anyway, but I was wondering. I'll see if it appears to shift anymore.
Thats strange. I know I had seen mines come on and go off when I was sitting at an angle one day when low. Then again one weekend, I drove my xb like I stole it through out va beach getting 21 mpg and still it did nt come on til 1/8 low.

Yep, just as with the fuel guage itself, you can expect the light to be sensitive to vehicle angle. The behavior I observed was as far as I can tell, separate from that! I don't know exactly where under the vehicle that sensor is located, I'd just prefer it hasn't been somehow damaged
!

Yeah. I drive a little over 300 miles a week and its nice to get that before a fill up. My xa I would fill up at 300miles as it would get too low too fast and the blinking lcd gas logo was hard to see. My tacoma, I am lucky to get 287 miles before the empty mark, 2 gallons left and no indicator.

If its just to work and back, Id seriously consider a used geo metro or just metro or a smart. If you got a family or people to move, the xb is the best choice.
I just commute to work at a call center, then drive out to my parents to help them to dr appoitments and shopping.
i drive that every 2 days
