follow this link for pics of what I am assuming is the new elusive blue color. I am in the process of researching all possible colors for my purchase of a 2011 xb, and right now stingray is winning.

 

I certainly wouldn't mind the arm rest in my '08. I'd also go for the rear bumper cover and tails if they were a bolt on. The lack of symmetry in the rear bumper of my '08 has always kept a small OCD flame burning in my mind.

I can't say I'm excited about the new front though, I dunno, maybe it'll grow on me.

 

Yeah, stingray is in the lead for me too.

Hey -- couple questions about Flickr:
1--why are the pics so small? Is there a way to view larger them larger?
2--and how do i save them to my drive? When I right click it saves it as "spaceball.gif", and when I open that file there's nothing there.

What's the dealio?

I just stopped by my Scion dealer again today. They still don't have the 2011s in.

 

The rear bumper just makes me mad. There is nothing I hate more then cheap reflectors in a bumper. If you look at the Corolla it looks like a direct copy of those reflectors in that rear bumper and I HATE COROLLAS.

 

One of the things that really bothered me about the new corolla was the new rear bumper reflectors. They look terrible!

*** It looks like we may have LOST the under seat storage in the rear seats -- take a look. Can someone with a 2011 xB tell us if there is storage under the rear seat any more?

Also, IMO the tape looks retarded on the blue since the logo is embedded. And the rims look horrible on that thing too. I feel sorry for who ever buys it. heh.

Just when I thought it couldnt look any worse... That vinyl overlay is RETARDED LOOKING!! Natesi you nailed it, that embeded emblem sticks out like a sore thumb like that! And I didnt even realize the lower grill doesnt even line up, its like an inch longer on both sides! Seriously what the hell were they thinking?????

 

I want that armrest!!!

Not diggin the armrest too much.. Idk, maybe if I saw it in person I might change my mind, but it jus looks like its missing something in front of it... Besides Iv gotten so used to not having one that I can do without it.. Now the telescoping steering wheel, thats a different story, I cant wait to get my hands on that!!

I think the overlay would work better if it sloped outwards across the bumper section to meet the edges of the lower grill. The embedded badge really does seem a problem for the mod enthusiast, but this version seems so much more mainstream than previous renditions (inside and out), I'm not sure it'll make much difference. The only distinctive "xB" remaining to me is the central instrument panel, if that were shifted behind the steering wheel, there'd be no "xB" left! Still, I can see that appealing to a pile of people, though I suspect the student set is gone at this point. Not enough counter-culture left, too mainstreamy. Even so, the roominess remains -- including the rear storage capacity (~70 cu-ft with the rear seat backs down).
