@tautologies: Nice! I think your first mod should be a clear bra on the front of the car.

You'll quickly discover how thin the paint jobs are, and I regret never getting one put on my box. I have so many chips and scratches that could have been prevented.

yup, black. I like it.

I had the nautical blue, which I love, so it is a little weird to look for a black car...but I am getting used to it :-)

 

i went to the ny intl auto show. they said the 2011 xb will remain with 2.4 and 5 spd trans. the 2011 tc will get the 2.5 w/the 6 spd. sorry guys wishful thinking. i too would like xb the 2.5 w/ the 6 spd.

 

xb never had a 5sp auto.

 

when i said 5 spd and 6 spd i meant manual.

 

I wish it had the 5 spd auto. That and real attachment for roof rack are the only two things I really have as suggestions for improvements. I've been looking at pretty much all the cars in that class and the combination of
space + features + safety + value retention / price = Scion wins

 

agreed taut. i've been nothing but a toyota guy for 25 years. When I set out to find something with some space to haul my dogs nothing touched a scion. I love it so much I'm almost afraid to drive it lol.

 

How come I feel the new headlights don't blend very nicely with the hood and front bumper.

 

I don't know...maybe because the front is different? I like them...I don't really see much difference on the headlights....

 

I actually don't care what brand I have...the 2008 Scion was my first...I evaluated a lot of cars...but so many sales people creeped me out...I really wanted an Element, but the guy was unbearable...the Nissan people lied to me...at Scieon they printed out a sheet of paper with price and specs on...and told me I could compare...I did and the XB came out on top for the total of the things I care about...by a mile.

yeah I am thinking about it...but I got bra on the sides for under the roof rack, and that is already falling off...I am not sure it would hold in the sun here...

 

Aloha, that pinstripe looks rocking, but the dvd stuff in the back would be a waste..I barely ever use my backseats...unless letting my kiteboards watch DVD's is a good idea :-)

Yeah, except for the legs and the gun and the height and the completely different shape, and the fact it's a robot, I'd say it looks pretty similar.

U-know, that would be one helluva mod -- gatling guns on each side of the nose ! That would be almost as good for parting traffic as driving an M1 (but better gas mileage) .
