Yeppers -- I'm in line for a retrofit kit for the 2011 telescoping steering column into the 2008-2010! Wonder how many associated parts are different -- could be good , or could be bad !

I'd think that would be a pretty hard swap.

Meh, I'll keep my 08. Saw an '11 today at Toyota of Dallas and I'm not feeling it. Also WTH was Toyota thinking by getting rid of the temp guage?!

Yeah, no temp guage is extremely lame.

If I get a 2011 I'll have to add one somehow.

I like the rear bumper and the headlights and front upper grill, the big new bumper should go. The headlights make it look more JDM rumion like. But I do enjoy my 09. Won't go changing what I already like, besides the usual or some other customizing I have on the back burner.

They have a temp light that comes on if the car gets hot. I mean really tho, how many times did your temp gauge really move much at all? On mine never. I'd rather have the clock, outside temp.

By the time the engine temperature light comes on, your engine has already overheated and the damage is done.

It's nice if the engine is behaving funny to just know that it's not overheating, is all.

Yeh I know what you mean, but I still think it depends a little on the implementation. I do think it is more probable that you would see it in time with this implementation. Instruments that does not move much, your head will stop paying attention to. I like the clock. :-)

The way they explained it to me was that the light comes on as orange and then red. I will check up in the manual tho... :-)

It didn't say in the manual, but the light comes on as green when the car starts up...

I'd take a clock & outside temp display over the engine temp gauge.

In my Eclipse, I can pretty comfortably leave my left hand at the 1:00 position which is really effective for manouvering. However, my xB requires I keep both hands down around the 6:00 position, otherwise it's hard on my back since I'm pulled forward -- and that's with the wheel tilted well down towards my knees.

The 6:00 position is fine for laidback cruising (ie. "highway cruiser"), but it's not good for anything more aggressive. I've lived with it fine so far, and no doubt it'll continue to be just fine, but I'd love to be able to bring the entire wheel a little closer to me !
