Default Rear ended

So this past Saturday I was minding my own business cruising home on I-105 here in SoCal and some idiot rear ends me. He must've fell asleep, been drunk, high who knows, but I looked in my rear view and noticed him coming up 10-20mph faster than me and straight into my left rear. I couldn't move over quick enough. And to top it off he doesn't pull over, so I chased him till I got a pic of his car/plate. Traffic started getting heavy up ahead so I made sure I had the clear pic and just let him go. Highway Patrol took a report and my insurance will handle the rest. Car is at Lexus Collision Center of Cerritos. New rear bumper, quarter panel repair.

ouch, sorry to hear about that but im glad that it wasn't much worse. also, i commend you on being patient and not chasing the guy down and attacking him like i would have

it's sad to see a damaged white box. when someone hit the front of my xb a few years back, i was so furious. anyway, looking forward to seeing after pics once the damage has been fixed.

Thanks. No I was not injured at all. Wasn't that hard of a hit really, or at least didn't seem like it. Luckily the car stayed nice and straight.

Ya once I got the pic of his car with my phone I just pulled over. He was getting crazy thru traffic and wouldn't have been worth someone getting hurt/killed. And since I did get the pic/plate#, I will get my deductible reimbursed whether the other car has insurance or not. Just got off the phone with the body shop. He's shooting for next Thurs for it to be ready. Can't wait. Will deff post pics. Unless of course it doesn't pass my inspection and it has to go back .

So what was the total bill for the damage? When my xB was rear ended, just a bumper scratch, it cost $450.00 to repaint the rear bumper!
