I have been looking for a low mileage 1st Gen Scion xB in the DC without success. Looking now at possible 2nd Gen Scion xBs.
I have read, however, that the gas mileage on the xB is rather disappointing.

Does anyone have any information on this?

Basically, Scion in 2007 Up size the Gen1 xB. Trying to get into the small Crossover market.
So in the Gen2 xB, they dropped the tC engine in a less aerodynamic longer boxy rectangular body.
Hence, More Power, but, Less Gas Mileage. Thus they gave the boxy Compact car market to the Nissan Cube and KIA Soul.
So xB1 vs xB2, it's a different car with a different engine, different body..

Best Bet for a Gen1 xB is keep trying CarMax, Auto Trader, Craig's List, eBay and the like..
