Default Caliper went out

I got a 2008 scion xb and my caliper needs replaced however if I do it on my own does the abs need bled or can I do it with brake bleed tool kit ? I know some cars have an abs system that you need a special scan tool to bleed the abs system.

Yes if you replace a caliper you will need to bleed that corner at minimum. You should not need to touch anything regarding the ABS modules themselves though. Probably would be a good time to do a brake fluid flush also if it's been more than 3 years since your last one. Can do it alone with some special tools but easier and more fun if you can find a friend to help whose done it before.

In short, just a standard simple brake caliper replacement. Scion's aren't fancy.
