Would these brakes work for the xB?
I am trying to find brake pads to upgrade to, yet nobody makes specific pads for our car. I did some research and it seems that the Rav 4 shares our front brake setup, 04-06 I believe.
I found that they make EBC greens to fit the Rav 4 model:
2004-2005: Base; 4Cyl 2.4L Gas, FI
Would these work? I just want to make sure before I think about buying them. I just want somebody to confirm for sure.

If we do have the same setups as the 2001-2005 Rav 4 - EBC and Hawk HPS pads are available.
If the xB is the same as the 06+ model years, then we don't have much luck.
I am now just trying to confirm which it is. Have a few people that said they are identical for front pads for 06, but looking for more "hard-fact data".
Will keep updated.

On the EBC site, they have a front green pad with a part number for our xB's.

Yeah, I was just looking to see if any other options before TRD.
I called up my dealer and the pads will be in tomorrow to pick up (I will install next week, spring break!).
Was better for me to buy from my dealer versus online due to shipping costs, versus tax. $75 from dealer versus $77, haha. And no wait for shipping!
So I will write up a little review next week sometime to help other people debating on these brakes.

I have a pair of TRDs I'm waiting to put on. One thing that scares me about em is the break in. You need to go from 60 to 5mph 8 - 10 times. I think I paid about $70 from the dealer which beat the other prices I was getting from garages and parts stores....and they're Toyota

Hope they make some change! I find the OEM brakes decent for what they are, but if I can improve the performance for $70, I will go for it!
Got my TRD brake pads today and installed them... Just completed the first of two break-in heat cycles. Had them bad boys smokin'!
Got them for $63+tax at my dealer with a coupon in the paper for the dealership for 10% off $75 and over. So I got my dad an air filter for his prius and got my 10% off, haha. Nice deal!
As for the brakes, although I have only done break-in, it is feeling GOOD. Damn, they stop VERY fast. No noise at all (screeching, grinding, etc). So far, extremely satisfied. Will give a more in depth review once I do second break-in and have time to use the brakes "normally".
