Default Advice On 18" Tire Size

I've got a 2010 xB on stock 16" wheels and TRD lowering springs and I'm looking to move up to 18" Enkei RZ-5 wheels. The Enkeis are 18x7.5 with a +42 offset. I'd like to find a tire that gives the better ride. From reading it seems many people go with 225/40/18 tires, but is it possible to use 235/40/18 or 225/45/18 without rubbing? Which of those will give the better ride?

Thanks!

Yes, it possible to run either since with your offset and width there will be no issue of rubbing. I'd probably say to run the 224/45 out of the two. Just remember that your speedometer and mileage are going to be off since you will now be running a larger than stock diameter set-up.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll go for the 225/45 tires.
