Jim,
From the pictures I liking the shape and design...Looking forward to getting it and test fitting it...I will let you know the outcome right away so we can get this project moving forward...Thanks again for all your hard work...This is ONLY the beginning...

Ok, I got the prototype from Jim this weekend and had a chance to test fit it...Here is the email I sent back to Jim:
Hey Jim,
Thanks for sending me the updated prototype piece...I received it Friday but finally got around to taking some pics and writing you a update...Well I see that you made the piece bigger and it now extends past the opening and over the original mount where the original wiper cowl piece was removed...Where as the last one you sent me sat more inside the opening...The one that sat more in the opening fit better and tighter and had just that tiny little gap in the rear that needed to be fixed...I like the design/shape of this new piece, however it does not fit properly and moves around a little bit...There is a little space in the the back where it does not fully meet with the existing wiper cowl molding...I have taken several pics to try and show you what I'm talking about...Also, the front tabs that hold it in place are not actually doing anything and do not hold the piece in place...They need to be longer to help hold it in place...Again, thank you for all that you are doing and we will get this right...
Respectfully,
Tim
Now for some pics because I know you all like pics...
Remember this is an unfinished prototype that has not been clear coated and is in rough form...I know my car is dusty, thanks AZ...

Thanks for the pics Tim, I'll be emailing you later about meeting up sometime to work out the final details.
Right now it would be nice to get the thoughts of those interested in the scoop to determine if this final design acceptable to everyone?
As for price, the part could be offered a couple different ways. The actual scoop piece could be purchased and then the owner cuts the hole in the cowl piece and mounts the scoop. The part can be provided similar to the last prototype, with a fiberglass base painted black, or the base can be made in carbon.
It seems to me that having the scoop already mounted to a fiberglass piece would probably be the best and though it would cost a bit more than just purchasing the scoop, it would be an easy install. The carbon base could always be an option too.
If there is no need for major design changes I can start looking into the cost.

Ok, I just went back outside and put the new prototype on and it DOES NOT interfere with the squirters for the windshield wiper fluid...It comes close, about 1/8 inch from hitting it but it does not so were good to go...I know it DOES NOT hit the orange one shown above either, so what ever way we decide to go we are good...
I like the new design better. That’s my vote, and I will take one in primer.

The fiberglass base will definitely cost less and I think I'll just offer it with the choice of either carbon or glass.
Sorry again for delays, I'm going to try to get with Tim soon to get the last couple details nailed down.
Funny you ask...I was driving home today from work and I looked out my front windshield and could see the wiper cowl...I thought to myself, I have not heard from Jim for awhile so I decided to call him and see what was happening...He didn't answer so I left a message...I will let you know when I hear back from him...
yeah, I'll be wanting a CF one to match my CF B-pillar appliques... hurry hurry!
...between this and the forjworks eylids, I'm chomping at the bit... and now all the shows are about done for this season, grrr...!
