Gauge Interest in XD Carbon Cowl Scoop
I'm currently working on a model of the scoop with all the detail so a production mold can be made. I'll post some pics when it's ready.
Here is a couple more pics of the prototype that Jim had sent...This is the 2nd one that was in the box that I did not know was there originally...

Here it is with hood lighting protruding through the opening:

Just a quick update. I have a couple projects that I'm trying to get out this week so I haven't had as much time as hoped to finish things up, but I did make the mold today for the scoop and will be working on the final one for the the cover. I should have a reasonably good part early next week, and hopefully it will be ready or at least very close for production.
Well here is the first part from the new mold, not the best representation but should give everyone the idea.

Let me know what you think, it's a little different than the first prototypes and I was trying to use some of the feedback for the overall look.
I'll try to get a good part soon along with the base so it can be installed.
I've been buried lately, here's a set of TC a pillars just sent out:

I'm very interested in this for the xD and the tC.
I do worry about the watter getting on the battery and also the washer jets for the windshield wipers. By the look of things this would get in the way of the driver side jet.
I'm really hoping I'm wrong.

Other than that, it's just another cool little gadget for our xD that Jim is willing to produce...
Jim, thanks for the update, the new piece looks great and can't wait to get it...Thanks for all your hard work...
Its mostly there for looks but it does channel cooler/outside air into and over the engine compartment...Therefore, those running the short ram and possibly cold air air intakes will have better air flow...I'm the one currently rocking this piece and I was originally going to have a turbo and this thing would have been perfectly placed where my turbo sat...

Yes good to see a thread about gauging interest acually getting done as opposed to the other 99%
Are we there yet? Almost.
I've had the latest scoop done for a couple weeks now but keep getting buried in other orders. It seems like the show season is winding down now so I am seeing some time in the near future. I've got a couple projects I have to get out this week but I'm really going to do what I can to get something off to YELOSUB by the end of the week. Once that's done I should be able to start producing some parts right away.
I also have some tC owners waiting for a part and will try to have a prototype finished this week too.
