My mom owns a 2012 XD & loves it. Her shoulder arthritis has gotten to the point where she has difficulty raising her arm to grab the open hatch to pull it back down. Is the hatch height adjustable? Has anyone encountered this same problem & come up with a solution? I'd hate her having to sell it but she needs easy access to the hatch to retrieve her walker.

 

You could try attaching some sort of cable or cord so she doesn't have to raise her arms. A pulley system could work too but that would be a bit more complicated
