Default parking & license lights are out

one of the license lights was flickering so i took it out to see if it was a connection prob and put it back in, next thing i know the second light that was working fine wasnt even on anymore, and i checked the parking lights and those werent coming on either. im thinking this might be a blown fuse? but im not positive. if anyone has info on this and how to fix it plz let me know asap bc i cant be riding around with my license lights out lol. and garage1217, i will be ordering some of those aluminum ring white lights to replace the horrible led's that are in my license lights now

i think he might not know what fuse it is. maybe he's asking if someone knows WHAT fuse it is?

i agree, some of the labeling is weird on what fuses are what.

how about asking him to elaborate where he needs help BEFORE calling him out smartass.

hope I can help you.
If you look at the drivers manual, it will have a page where it shows the fuse box and the labeling of every single fuse to which one is what. (the fuse box will be in your hood or under the steering wheel (underdash) of the drivers side. Those are the locations for the scion tC, so wherever it is, find it ) In the manual, find the fuse # that connects to the license plate or parking lights and take that fuse out. You could use a tool with a long grabbing thingy (don't know the name). Now if you check the fuse, and if it looks like this:

that means it's blown!! go to your local autopart store and buy the same fuse or in a higher voltage. Replace it, and try turning on your lights again. If it lights up, YAYA!!!!!
Taking out the plug from the battery from the beginning is always safe.
My friend who has an rsx type-s had the same problem. I think because he bought the car used and the car was freakin old, every single led we changed in the car didn't work because the fuse blew off right away lol

Hope you get yours fixed.

and garage1217 led's are AWESOME!!!!

Elaborate what? Read the damn fuse panel or check the manual its not that hard. Or what how about this if the car has less than 60k on the odometer take it to the dealer.

you're

If you suspect the fuse is blown all you had to do was check it since their is a 90% chance that is the problem. I did not know you literally had no idea how to properly check for a burnt fuse. But yes to answer your question just pull the fuse out in which ever direction the top is facing. If you are not careful you can break the fuse itself leaving the blades stuck in the holder.

yea i never had a father or any other person in my life to show me anything about cars and how they work. im learning alot and finding out that alot of it is simple but we're past the first decade in the 21st century, im sure most ppl know that when i say 'your' they already know i mean you are, just like u know 'ppl' means people and u means you. but thanks for your help anyways. problem fixed, it was a blown fuse, i just had trouble locating which one and how to get to it from behind the wheel. but its all fixed, lights are working. thread can be deleted
