Default XRS Transmissions

Hey Guys,

Considering that the Corolla and the xD share the same motor, has anyone explored the possibility of putting the 6 Speed XRS tranny or gearbox in a manual xD?

I would love to have the extra gear. Fortunately I have the resources to do this, I just do not want to throw away money investing the part if even custom fabrication would not make it work.

the xD and the base corolla and corolla s share the same engines and transmissions (2zr-fe) but the current and last generation corolla XRS use different engines.

the current xrs uses the same 2az-fe engine in the camry and tc and many other toyotas.

the generation corolla xrs used a 2zz-ge, same as in the celica gt-s. the only thing they have in common is the engines are both 1.8 liter engines.

if the bell housings on them can mate up, and the car has enough room to accommodate it, yeah, you can do it though.
