Default Scion xD Gas Gauge issue..

Own 2010 xD since November...Filled car yesterday with gas and noticed
LED's still showing full. Have filled it many times in past and haven't had this issue before.

Any thought?

i can drive 90 miles before my first light ticks off. of course i do all highway driving, and 90 miles for me is a trip to work and back.

but what exactly do you mean by LED's still showing full? How far have you driven? And did you overfill it? we need some more info before we can accurately guess as to what's going on.

My daughter has been drivn car alot and I havent for a couple of months,,I realized today that I'm averaging like 35 mpg now 5 months new.. at first it was like 27..after re-calc I realize there must be at least 2-3 miles above the readout..I i have done approx 40 miles since fill up so it should be ok

tks for input

Depending how much gas I shove in after click off, I can generally drive 70 miles or so before a lose my first fuel bar and that's with a mixture of city/freeway driving...So basically your answer is that it all depends on how much gas you put in after auto shut off AND what type of driving you do...Hope this helps...

I actually just finished having a bad fuel sender replaced under warranty. Likely a fluke since I dont think anyone else had the issue, but mine was staying on full for close to 100 miles then started going down slower than normal and would run out of gas exactly as it hit quarter of a tank. ran out of gas twice before i figured out the issue and had it taken care of.
