Question Can someone smack the bean counters?

Really, Toyota should be ashamed for not offering a fricking outside temperature gauge and pockets on the back of the front seats to hold a laptop or map - what did that save them, $12 per car? Oh and did I mention a back up camera, sunroof, navi, satellite radio and six speed automatic? And yet despite this I am seriously thinking of buying a Blizzard Pearl RS 4.0 this weekend! If Toyota should be smacked for leaving this stuff off when KIA has enough sense to offer it all (and surprise! they are selling Souls like hotcakes), what should happen to me for buying one?

Already did the KIA and it was great. Since I only keep a car three years at most, all the engine has to do is hold up during warranty and I'm good. It will be cool to play around with the RS.

I guess you've never experienced the orgasmic feeling of sliding a smooth Macbook Air or any other laptop into a tight yet roomy rear seat pocket.

You want all those goodies in an entry level basic car that was designed and marketed to be affordable basic transportation from one of the worlds most reliable car companies...
People dont by the xD for luxury or plushness or performance..
Open a window to see if its cold or hot, use the rearview mirrors to see behind u, buy a garmin for navi and save hundreds... who needs all that crap anyways.. its just more BS so manufacturers can pad the price of the car..
Many people just want reliable affordable transportation... the xD has most of the mainstream features.. all the things you mentioned are fluff... used to sell lesser cars for more money..
Buy a kia and get more quantity and less quality...

All valid points.. but it just comes down to... If you don't like what the xd has to offer , then this car isn't meant for you.

Fluff? A rear seat pocket is fluff? You're right about people not buying the xD though, except you spelled buy wrong. Still, I just did, and am TOTALLY loving it! See, you can be a fanboy AND still think Toyota's bean counters need a good smack! I'll just spend another $3k for all my fluff I guess.

"Keep?" How about just carrying one around? They aren't that expensive anyway plus most crooks either take the whole car or just the stereo because they already know Scion was too cheap to put pockets on the back of the seats, so why would they even look back there?

I never said the car was perfect.
I dont consider myself a "fanboy" of the xD.. I like it because its economical,
reliable and its lightweight nimbleness in traffic.. a good overall value..
I'm a fan of performance cars but appreciate the well rounded xD for it value..
Congrats on your new ride.. I'm sure u will enjoy it !
