Default Has Anyone Test driven a Stick xD Yet????

I'm mostly curious if the xD suffers from the same "high" clutch pedal. I'm hoping it is more like the xA/xBs pedal hight.

What does the "butt dyno" tell you about how it accelerates? Does it throw you back harder in the seat? What is the redline for this new motor?

I think it's a C50 tranny in both xD and xA.

0-60 on the manual xD (8.2s) is almost the same as on the auto tC - pretty impressive for a 1.8L shopping cart.

Got my silver 5spd today - perfectly drivable car in town and on the highway. On a 50 miles trip back from the remote dealer got 36mpg without even trying (at least according to the internal mileage display).

Power wise - a bit quicker than the Matrix, a lot quicker than xA, Second gear feels a little too tall, but can't tell yet since I did not have a chance to redline it much - trying to take it easy for another 700 miles or so.

I'm happy as I can be.

Glad to know. How bad/good is the high clutch pedal?

Clutch grabs all the way at the bottom, at least in my car, hopefully it will go up a bit with wear. The height of the actual pedal did not seem weird - I switch between my Z and my girlfriend's xA all the time and xD did not seem unnatural. I did stall it couple of times because of carelessness and not being used to the low catch point with not enough torque to fix this kind of mistakes. Shouldn't be a problem after a day or two.

I'm just glad it didn't suffer the same way the xB2 does. Call me crazy, but I still hope the xD sells better than the xB2.

i test drove the new xb today. the clutch was higher, but not something that i couldn't get used to. I liked it. I'm buying it. The dealer also said they were selling like hotcakes here, so i will probably have to wait to get one.
