That looks pretty sweet man! My car's the same color and I have black rims, so I thought about doing that too. Glad someone beat me to it so I can see how it looks :D

To tell you the truth, I dont even know where it is and it was painted to match the other emblems. If i find it I will let you know but again it is smoked grey.

A week old, and you have already done what ive wanted to do. I'm very jealous.

I have been planning on painting my badges/emblems flat black, I think it would look good on my super white that has black rims. I already have the color of paint I want at my disposal, but how did you go about getting them off? I was just thinking a hair dryer and a plastic butter knife would do the justice on the back ones. But im concerned about getting the front one off and reattaching them all.

Any suggestions. I like what you have done very much, Congrats on the xD!

Hehe, not all of us are up on the lingo. Is a heat gun the consensus when it comes to removing the xD symbol? Would a hairdryer work? lol. Also, I second the blacking out the Scion lettering, it'll make it stand out a little but not to the point where it distracts. How'd you get those suckers of f btw? Thought it was impossible

Noooo butter nife. THats way to risky. I just used a hairdryer, wax floss and fishing line when needed. Like I said before, be ready for some time. The Xd emblem should only take 5 minutes max. The front is the worst because its set into that plastic plate. That one alone probably took 1-1.5 hours alone to get off. Dont even attemt the front with floss it will not hold up. I just used very thin fishing line and GLOVES or you will cut up your hands. The back scion emblem took maybe 30 minutes and I did it with just floss. I would heat it up for about 30 seconds and then do that section. I dont think there is any way to really attack it that would be wrong but I worked from left to right then top to bottom. The front and back have two plastic ***** that stick into the car. you will know when you hit them. You cant go through them so thats what takes time. So I went left to right until I hit the first **** then right to left till I hit the second. THen went top to bottom until I hit both ***** then Bottom to top. I would just rub the floss or line back and forth and very gently pull away from the car. That will pull the adhesive off the car and and free the emblems.

After you get them off make sure you clean the crap out of the area and emblem with goo gone. you dont want any of the old adhesive left behind. When ready to stick them back on just use some 3m double sided tape. Cut it into small pieces and stick it all over the emblems.

Hahaha. Good to have you as one of us xD owners.

But seriously. Everytime someone posts a thread title called "One week old xD", immediately I am thinking that there will be posted pics of a totally wrecked totalled 1-week old Scion xD. Cuz in these forums... those sad stories seem to happen all the time.

Thanks.
