so this guy ( cory lagasse ) selling a 2004 BMW super charged with 1,100 miles on it ( engine rebuild ) , he wants me to pay half first and then if i'm happy with it he will lafter change the title to my name. but i got to pay first, and i have to do it over WESTERN UNION.

i'm ready to send him 0.01 cent and wish and hope that he have to drive 50 miles to go to a nearest western union store.

Just do what he want, but don't ever send any money. That's when it becomes a scam.

 

It's probably a "too good to be true" scenario but you never know, seller could be totally honest too.

His English is really bad! Even if hes from the UK (which he isn't) this is a scam a really poor one.

 

Their was a thread on nsxprime where one of the members really screwed with a guy that was doing this (scamming) lol turned out he was from south Africa or something like that.

 

I re-read it, don't do it. He had to claim that he's a legit seller.

 

A long ways back a saw a Mark IV Supra for 4,500 on CL and emailed them and pretty much said a similar story. Going through a divorce, was wanting to just get rid of the car, car was located somewhere else and would be shipped, some eBay/Paypal payment deal (that is not covered by eBay). Scam scam scam. If I can not physically touch the car or see it in person and make a transaction in person I won't do it, especially with a vehicle purchase. I would have flown to check out the Supra but scam was written all over it.

 

i'm asking him for the location of the car, if he agree to let me check it out first, then it should be good with a clean title.

 

His English sucks... There's no way he's from England. It's like he doesn't know how to use plurals... lol It's a scam, but do update if you decide to send him any money. It'll be good for a laugh. Where did you meet this guy? Or were you just the "lucky" one he decided to e-mail this awesome offer to?

 

I honestly hope you don't think this is legit..

@ XD_kid91 it's a rebuild, the car is 83,200 miles but the motor is only 1,100 super charged 360 HP.. kinda good to be true thing.

i'm sending him 1 cent and hope he's at lease 100 miles away from the nearest WESTERN UNION store

 

If it involves Western Union and someone out of the country, IT IS A SCAM!

Just walk away.
