Storing middle seat belt?
I never have 5 people in my car, but this past weekend I was driving the in-laws and sister and fiance in my car and had to pull the middle seat belt from its cozy storing location. Now I can't get it to stick back into its storing location. The manual just says to push it back in, but it falls out easily. I remember it being a slight trick when I stored the one time I did it, but I can't do it now. I'm wondering if I broke it or it broke.
What do you have to do to store the seatbelt? Is there a snapping sound? I heat hearing the seat belts click when I drive and when I think its in place a simple drive knocks it back out.

Are there seat belt clips on the columns to secure the belt buckles from moving around? In my xB those clips are there and keeps them from moving around and I fold down the second row and that takes care of the middle seat belt, unless you like driving with the second row open instead of folded down.

I'm not sure about the xB, but what I'm talking about is you disconnect the center seatbelt from the middle seat. It then attaches to the top of the back of the car. Where the hatch hinge is. I can't seem to place it back into the premade slots up there. It just falls out.
Mine used to stay in place, but now falls out. It doesn't move... just hangs there. No clanking together or anything like that.
There is not a click, it's just friction that (supposedly) holds it in place.

Oh! I know what you're talking about! Yeah, those are always hard to get right, you gotta mess with it so that it all fits. IME, they're all the same so the secondary buckle should be inside while the primary buckle is on the outside and that should be held in place by trying to stick it in the plastic clips. You just gotta mess with it.
The way to install it correctly is in the manual.
It is hard to figure out how to store the belt just by looking at the ceiling mount. I remember me and the salesman looking at that thing before we drove away in the car for the first time. Neither one of us could really figure it out, but once you see it in the manual, it seems easier.
I turned it upside down and it seemed to hold tighter, but the post about adding tape to the buckle was a good idea also.

I think I'm going to take it in and have them fix it. I pulled apart the cover a bit and it's just a bump in plastic that has a bit of a give that hold the belt in place. Mine is now completely depressed in and doesn't pop-out so it will never hold the seat belt in place.
Shoddy work in my opinion.

My Xd came from the dealer with the middle seat belt installed for use instead of stored. When I looked at the manual to stow it, I became confused too. What I ended up doing (and it works quite well so far even after re installing it after hauling a full boat the other day) is to shape the belt into an 'S' with the smaller seat attachment above and behind the regular metal belt fitting and insert both into their respective holes at the same time. It appears to me that it's not so much the friction hold of the large belt hole indentation that holds both in place, but the cramming of the cloth belt in that small 'S' shape that pushes downward against the regular metal belt fitting keeping it from sliding out of its storage hole while keeping the smaller clip secure above.
Yea.... I never have anyone back there so I unbolted the seat belt completely and hid it in the C pillar. The darned thing would always fall out when I had my windows down and getting it to stay was a joke.
Supposedly Scion released a fix which consisted of a strip of felt (or something similar) that was placed in the plastic bit in the ceiling. No idea if it really helped or not.
