xd armrest on scion website!!!
Don't know if anyone else has seen this but they added an armrest on www.Scion.com
That looks like its the Yaris armrest made to fit the xD.
Why can't they release the iST armrest? Its so much better because you get more storage space. I could careless if my arm rests on a padded armrest or not.

Now there's a different one on www.trdsparks.com for $74 and it looks like it has compartments unlike the one on the scion website. Could they have released more than one?

Wtf! Thats the iST armrest for $200 cheaper than what I got it for and what they were supposedly going to sell it before ($150). This ____es me off so much.
[edit] TRDSparks has also dropped their prices on a lot of their items too. Its good but it still ____es me off.

As for Sparks selling them cheaper - all I have to say is that IT'S ABOUT FLIPPIN' TIME!!! When will Scion catch the hint that these things should have been on the cars in the first place?
(Sure I paid twice as much for mine, and I owe my friend in Japan a favor, but I'm glad to have had it for the last year. No bitterness here.)

Interesting... Toyota claims that the armrest is indeed the IST center console... that's what it's showing in their database. But for that price, it's likely a padded one like on the xA/xB. I'm going to order 1 to see which it actually is. The xA/xB1 was a padded armrest at that price point. Seeing the console at that price doesn't make sense.
Here's a link to Scion.com's picture, which is likely the actual arm rest.

Next xD?
I'm actually thinking of trading mine in and getting a Subbie hatch after I move out to STL, MO around June
[edit]
The Scion website hasn't been working for me as of late, and I use FF which has never had a problem before. LAME!

Scion has been laggy lately. I say next xD because I totalled mine. Are you getting it because you think you can't handle the weather? If so, no worries. You'll get used to driving in snow/rain
I just saw a VENZA today in person up close. I think I'm in Love. Not sure if they come w/an AWD option or not, but very very cool looking.
as for the subaru hatch, i hope you like sitting onthe floor, the seats in my buddies new one are so LOW. his MPG kinda sucks too like 22-24 mixed. bleh. nice interior though, but aftermaketsupport doesnt get any better, so thats a plus.

I thought the Venza was AWD O.o Saw some pictures of it myself and it looks ok.
I haven't sat in one yet, been looking for used subbies (hatch and non-hatch) and WOW its hard to find them! In my mind a Subbie is more durable for cold climates than a Scion would be, but then again I have no idea since I've never lived out of Cali

Actually its either FWD or AWD, but two dfferent models for each type.
Had I known about VSC when I first got my xD, I would've waited for one to roll on to my dealers lot and had gotten that one instead of the one I have right now. Would be better to have it since it would be very useful where I'd be moving to (St. Louis, MO) and potential resale value down the road.
