lol to be honest, i'm not really sure, but it sure fit well like that though. otherwise, the bolt's too long, and there's be a huge space above the bracket. i just stacked them there because i had no where else to install them.
and to toyocel, they might be telling you to adjust your damper from like whatever setting you have to like 11mm or something tighter. with ingalls, you can tighten the damper. for us, we put in new bushings, which in turn gives us a "tighter" feel.

is it that bad? people have used dynamat, as jetlounge said, but i have no opinion since i have never tried it. the washers that were placed under the etd brackets and the strut bar was just to even it out, so the strut bar doesn't get tightened down at a angle.

lol thanks with the cover. 1 weekend, spray cans, and boredom led me to do that lol. but yeah, i was thinking of getting the ingalls, but i wanted something new, and boom, nst started advertising this thing and so yeah. i'm happy with it. does the job right, and adds a little "bling" to my engine bay lol.

well it's pretty loud when the car is in reverse but while driving i really can't hear it cause my car is loud and i turn my subs up as well. but man i can also feel the vibration but i'll see when i can go get some dynamat for this.

the ones that go inside the damper, the black ones. besides putting extra washers for the space i haven't done that yet.

i just meant to make it a little longer, so that it has a little more room for play. not sure if that would fix it though. but yeah, if that doesn't work, i would do what kocho did, just put some rubber grommets around the strut bolts, to absorb some of the vibration.

i just did it by unscrewing the top 2 hex parts, making the rod stick out more. couldn't really find a good picture, but

1) Awesome write up. Made me buy it and install it

2) I only got black bushings with my kit from DME... was looking for the red ones..

3) Longer vs Shorter.. which is better for performance?

1. Thanks!
2. red ones are pre-installed into the damper. open it up, by screwing off everything, and the cylinder part should come off, and reveal 2 plastic spacers and 2 red bushings.
3. i would say shorter for performance, but i just made it long enough to reach. if you make it too short, you'll suffer from rattling.
