when you install the intake you have to take off the negative plug on the battery. this results in your windows not being able to go back up once you press them down. this will happen with the moonroof too.

what you do is press both left and right windows down and hold it for like 10-15 secs. after that you press and hold them up for another 15 secs. repeat the same process for the moonroof. you should know when everything is working fine again.

this might be a good diy to ask a question........ wut if i didnt disconnect the battery and install the intake? and another question, the brakets that comes with it... the one you bolt to the holes to make sure the intake stays in plaxe, what if i tighten them too much? will it show a check engine light? cuz my car was working great yesterday and today in the morning it started to show check engine light. does anyone knows why?

I don't think your CEL has anything to do with overtightened brackets. The purpose of disconnecting the battery is to force the ECU to reset by removing it from power. Provided you're not too fast with the install, the ECU will be in its default mode when power is restored. Because the short ram (it's the same with cold air) changed the air intake dynamic, the ECU needs to relearn and you need to let your car idle for 5+ (or was it 15) minutes before doing any driving with the new intake.

make sure yo pull the neg again for about 5 min and then re-connect and let run for about 5-10 min for ecu to relearn system and the cel will go away.

Okay, never done this before but...what is the rectangular box located just to the left, facing forward, of the air filter box and, I guess, it musn't be too important because it seems to get left off.

My question: I bought parts to create a cai. I am going to run it through the air filter box, and would like to run some big hose (like a dryer vent hose) down to the bumper and use that for the cold air...anyone done this and have pics of the set-up?

What to keep and what not to attach to the whole set-up is seriously kickin my tail here...

Yeah install is the same for 2005-2010 TC. Just the 2007-2010 model has a different size Maf sensor so the two intakes have different part numbers.
