Painting (Wheels)
on the way to class one day...i noticed there was a wobbling in the rims and stupid me forgot the hub rings from my axis rims on there soo as i was driving the rim wasnt flush with the hub so that caused the wobbling of the rim causing the lug nutt to pop out...but its alright nothing happend im fine haha
Nice. I was wondering does anyone know how the Bronze from Duplicolor comes out, or does anyone have a better brand for Bronze. And is using primer important, if so, which color primer? Pictures would be awesome. Thanks.
I did mine last weekend. Duplicolor Wheel Paint Flat black.

Took me forever to mask. I used electrical tape around edges and it worked like a charm.

It looks alright from a distance but if you get to close and really really look then you can see paint quality and its not perfect. It was alright until i started messing with clear coat. It feels like a sandaper in some places. Any advice how to use clear coat or get rid of that sandpaper effect? Polish wheels really goood maybe?

damn i like the black insides on those rims up there. i know exactly what youre sayin about the rough spots. when i spraypainted my 18 inch super7's a long time ago mine were like that on teh sides of the spokes it sucked. oh well i have new rims now so i dont have to put up with those anymore.
and the bronze on the superwhite up there looks sick.
if i was to total my tc, id get a superwhite and put bronze rims on it and a cf hood.

alucas8892 , go for it if you're not afraid to endup with completely black rims
j/k Just make sure you got 2 days off to do that. Take your time. It takes about 1.5-2.5 hours just to tape everything around. I started at 2pm saturday and finished around 6am Sunday. Just remember electrical tape and acetone are your friends. After you put your last coat give it 10 minutes (dont let it dry too much), take mask off and start cleaning all that extra paint around edges with acetone just be careful. Good luck.
