Default 22 going on 12

Hey! I'm 22 and this is my first ever "new" car. Before my Scion i was tormented with 2 crappy "at least you have a car type of cars" that my parents bought just to suffice my transportation needs, namely a '89 GOLD (yes...very ghetto fabulous) Ford Probe and a '93 Cherry Red Ford Probe. They were fun cars to beat up and drive and I have many memories with them but i'm glad they are gone and i have my SCION By the way mine is Indigo Ink Pearl (some crazy person who names the crayons for crayola had to have named this color) and it's so cute! I will post pics when I remember to write down the VIN haha and mine will be stock for awhile until I have the cash to upgrade it PM me if you have ideas for cheap upgrades!

I mean don't get me wrong I LOVE the Scion and I'm only 19, but Toyota screwed themselves by not putting a beefier motor in the car. Unfortunately, especially on the east coast, import tuning isn't about style, it's about speed, and here on the east coast where my dealership is, no one wants a 108hp box, they're all waiting for the tC to come out.
Uhh..dude..I'm 20 and I'm willing to drop 20k on a tricked out slow ___ box..at least it's better than my Eclipse..which is a complete pain in the ___..damn the RS Model.

It is hilarious that whoever set up the poll lumped everyone over 40 in one bucket. I just turned 40 and I still think of myself as early 30's at most! Oh well...

All I can say to you young kids is, the years pass faster than you can possibly imagine!

As far as marketing and demographics, i understand the target is Gen-Y. But living in the NW, I bought it without seeing a single TV commercial or print ad. Its a killer car for the price!

Default GenX vs GenY

I drop by at the dealership again last week checking out the xA "Again". Notice this youngster negotiating with not the sales but his parent.. What a lucky kid.
I myself turning 32 soon, I miss the GenX bracket by a year or two, but what a different a few years make, Even thou i can afford a xA or two without problem or from his eye, i might be luckier, What he donno is i'm like most GenY are with mortage to pay, insurance (Auto, Med & life), daily house hold expense, utility, 401k, 529B, ESPP, entertainment, vehicle maintanince, operating expense... Then at the end of the day have some left over for saving then with money beside the saving available for a second car. Now who is the lucky one. All you ever have to worry about is just home work or the next paycheck. Ooops was i rambling again, Sorry.. Anyone seen my pills?

It doesn't matter how old or young you are. If you drive a Scion you are cool, end of story

I'm 33 but I look 23. The dealer definitely thought he was hitting the target demo with me until he saw the birthdate on my driver's license!

Husband is 35, and he's the one that got me turned on the Scion in the first place.

I'm 32 w/ a wife and daughter. This will be my 13th car since I got my license. No accidents thank GOD. I currently own a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. My wife can't understand why I need another car when I barely drive. I take the train into work. There is some mystical VooDoo that Scion/Toyota is working on me ...I just have to have my Hot Lava!!!
