Have the forums been a little dead lately? It seems like not much is going on

 

I agree it's alot more dead now that the site has changed,
here is a little something I think since the update all the reconnects and shows I've been to everyone I talk with really ins't liking the new update, it might take some time getting use to it but people are really not feeling it anymore...

 

I think it's safe to say that the Scion Community, in general, has quieted down significantly in the past year.

 

Yes, the site has been getting a little more quiet, but there doesn't seem to have been a massive drop because of the change. I'm still not please with the way everything works, yet, but I am being assured that the folks at IB are working on the details...

As to the order of the segments (Regions, Cars, Classifieds) it does actually coincide with the way ScionLife.com v1.0 was set up. The very first thing, at the top of the page when you entered the forums was a large red map and a clickable list of the regions, followed by the cars and the classifieds.

The drop-down menus at the top are getting better, but still have problems, again, they are being worked on.

Finding a list of who is in what usergroups is no longer an easy matter - even as the Admin I have a heck of a time digging that out.

I have a request in to IB to get the easy access to that information back. (Even the old method no longer works.)

Just curious, are you guys bringing back toyotalife, and Lexuslife? I know they were quiet, but they had some good stuff too.

 

Please help!!! I want to add my car to the registry.. I drive a 09 tC RS 5.0... I have tried multiple ways just to get the site to accept my entry.. but no luck... what am I doing wrong??? I have tried lowering my firewall and using mozilla.. no luck on either... I get all the info filled out.. it never gives me a color option and there is no submit button that works...???... WTF????

 

Everyone who I know locally has agreed that they don't care for the new site or layout so they just stopped posting, or checking.


I'm subscribed to a few threads and yet when I click unsubscribe nothing happens. Please don't tell me I have to go to the actual thread and click unsubscribe. That would defeat the whole purpose of having the option in the User CP.

im getting somewhat used to the new forum i wish it would go back to the old one but im sure all the bugs will be gone soon... hopefully

 

It'll pick back up eventually.

 

Personaly, I stayed off of SL up until now.. I never liked the SL 1.0.. But I do like the new version.. If they can work out some kinks and update some functions!!! lolz... Things just take time..

The old site was like a snail.
I cant wait to use the search, (incase its different or faster.) As a matter of fact, I will use it now.

Kudos, hope this version stays, its sleek, and looks great in my new widescreen.

 

Is it possible to make the search result list show "Forum" on the LEFT side instead of the Right side?
It would make users know which forum the thread is under easier.

 

Could we have the censor for words turned off? I haven't seen anyone really go off the handle with cursing before so it's not needed. We get censored enough in real life!

I think the site has slowed down alot because of the changes to SCIONLIFE> EVERYTHING IS TOO BIG. You have one post and it takes up my whole screen. If I am goign to read through a thread I don't want to have to scroll down read a post, scroll down, read a thread. That just makes my eyes go crossed. I really think if you could get 3 or 4 posts to fit in the window at one time and reduce all the unused blank space it would make reading the forums much better. just my opinion.

Can we make it so when we click the forum, ie. ScionLife Forums > xD owner forums that it takes us directly to the "lounge" area instead of the overview of what is IN the xD forums?

Also, PLEASE remove the curse word censor. This is ridiculous. Yes there are people on this forum under 18, but most kid start cursing well before then.

PM's still do not show the newest and latest PM messages in the User CP.

If anything, bring back the old format until these errors are fixed. Or should have had a few forum members join a group to see and test this new forum format before making it live.

 

I like the style of the forums now.. I never could understand how they worked in the old format.. The Scikotics forum is exactly the same format, and we dont have any of these issues.. Although there is alot more going on in the SL forums, as far as the registry etc...
