Well true japanese spec engines are different than the USDM versions (wich is why I put in that lil tid bit about USDM) The USDM type R engine had forged rods, pistons, and reinforced cylinders. I am pretty sure that if a bottle that large can be put into a USDM k20 with out any problems. the old type R engine can. Also the b18 is superior cause its putting down similar numbers with less displacement. and the power to weight ratio is far superior.

the thing is just a heavy motorcycle with four wheels. you dont get any hp until 7800rpm. whats the point of that!?!? cars arnt suppost to red line at 8000, its not natural.

WHY NOT...? The engine was built to rev high. Peak hp occurs at 7800...but it doesnt mean its not makin decent hp through the rpm band.

Erm yes it does. The power of v-tec! Wich is why the tC pulls on the RSX-S off the line.. until the car gets the 2nd cam profile then it makes the high HP. Wich is why the 197 HP civic SI only does 0-60 .1 seconds quicker than the 160 hp tC

that torque would be fine.. if the SI weighed as much as the older SIs around 2,500 lbs. but the SI is a fatty just like the tC.

Ive seen a non type-s rsx yank on a tc from start to finish. But give or take it could also depend on the driver.

SI sucks tC is the bomb SI 197 hp 139 Torque pssshhhh TC has 163 stock and costs about 3-4000 less. Add the supercharger and 200 HP at least 178 lb of torque. I won't ever see an SI except in my rear view mirror.

WOW are you serious.......an all motor si with bolt ons would eat up a tc wit a supercharger. Yes it about 3-4000 less but you'll be spending that 3-4000 for your supercharger just to be competitive with a stock si.

Okay dude time for some education, the SI motor is pretty tuned for what it is, the tc is not and it has 23 ft lb of torque more for 3-4 k less. if you actually use that money to tune the tc motor without the supercharger you can get more power than an SI. And that would be all motor too. Is it just me or did honda try to clone the tc??? Pricewise the tc will be faster per dollar hands down and in the same class "naturally aspirated". If anyone has a stock SI that wants to race I would like to see how well the tc holds up stock. But take the extra cost and actually do a little tuning to the tc and hands down tc wins.
