Yes you are stating your opinion and i respect it. But how can you state an opinion and expect people to listen to it and bash someone elses opinion and tell them to kill themselves?

yeah nav that's not integrated with the car kinda sucks.

The SI has the buttons on the wheel and such which makes is more useful.

You swap the radio on the new tCs and there go those steering wheel controls.

FujitsuTEN (Eclipse) is the OEM supplier of NAV units to Toyota. So, get a eclipse AVN system and it fits like a glove. Toyota has part numbers for the trim even so it will look factory in your tC.

But, since I had a 05 I do not know if it will work with the steering wheel controls. Other than that the Eclipse unit is VERY integrated with the car. Speed sensor, backup, and even day/night display. Goes to night when you turn on the lights.

Its all good. Just so hard to tell on forums. Pus I was in a bad debate on an early thread so I am alittle jumpy.

Its weird how the steering wheel controls are useful. When I got the car it thought it was dumb. I dropped my car at the dealer today and drive my wifes car home. I went to turn the radio down and honked the horn. Wife looked at me like i was dumb.

IMO

I would say the new SI is pretty damn nice for the price. I would have to say it at least looks better then the bubble SI before it. Only thing I would say that I dont like is the 'instrument cluster'.

***To me, a car is more about what you can do to it then what just comes standard. You all should know that theres going to be an a$$ load of parts for that car, probably surpassing even the tC within a few years.

I'm gonna stick with my tC cause its unique and I love how the Scion community is. Its huge when you think about it, especially for how long Scion's have been out. At least I know if I go to a car show or something that my car will be a rare find compared to the Ka-billion-trillion Civics out there. This is just all my opinion.

But I believe both cars are great!!!

To me these look freakin sweet. Now only if they made body kits and what not like that for them. These 2 pictures are chopped...and very nicely done I might add. ***These where not created by me***

I dont know,. if I was to buy a car right now, I would pay a little more for the civic si over tC. tC already seems a little outdated compared to the new civic.

Any factory steering wheel controls can be utilized with any aftermarket radio that has remote control capability.

Considering the SC gives the tC as much WHP as the SI has BHP that is not the case. Yes, it will beat a stock tC, but not by much. It has low torque and weighs almost exactly the same.

SI: 0-60 in 7.2 sec, 1/4 in 15.1
tC: 0-60 in 7.5 sec, 1/4 in 15.6

So the SI will beat the tC stock.. but a supercharged tC will take it easilly
Thank you!!

i was shocked when i read the 1/4 number's there so close, it Really made me really re-think Getting one.

and plus, i got my Tc the way i wanted it to look for like 22-23k, To get that same look on The Si, i would easly have to drop 25-26k for it. its numbers dont impress me,

And i tihnk its ugly, with out the lipkit...

and its wing, That comes STOCK on the si Would have to BE GONE, for me to drive it..

haha i work at a honda dealership here on oahu and all the salesmen were

like..."you're gonna regret buying your tc when the si comes out" and stuff like

that . i heard that when we get them in that it's gonna be like 26g's or so out

the door. i paid a lil over 18 otd and i love my car. i don't think that the si is THAT

great of a car when i look at the civic coupes everyday at work . plus...it

makes it's peak power at 7800 rpms (redline 8000)...and i enjoy being able to pass

cars on the freeway without downshifting lol.

if you can afford it, the SI is a much better car in every aspect. everyone wants to get all riled up bc people KNOW the si is better and they have a tc, but we all bought this car for one ultimate reason: the price.

I agree, I'd say a large number of enthusiasts here would have purchased an '06 SI if the '06 SI was out when they went to buy the tC.

Guys on the RSX board are saying how the SI is better and cheaper than their RSX type S...and IMO, that car is already better than the tC (aside from the pricepoint)

Bear in mind that you can get a loaded SI without nav for under 20k (there really are no factory options). Thats not that much more than a tC. The dealerships around my area are selling them at MSRP.
