meh, its my daily. no need for more power. even with dropping a huge chunk of change just to get to 181hp, it will still be way slower than my civic.

There are MANY ways to tell if it was a REAL GT or not. Did it have Bumper inserts for the dual exhausts? Did it have foglights? Did it have alloy rims? Did you see the interior? Did it have a hoodscoop (Which came stock on some V6 Mustangs, so is also NOT a good indicator)???

If you take a Mustang V6 and throw some 4.10's, a T-lok, CAI, UDP and a Performance chip, not to mention H/I/E, which are all RELATIVELY cheap mods, you will have a fairly quick car. Face the truth man, you did not, nor will you ever beat a Mustang GT 99 +. It's just not happening. Even FI I can't see you beating a GT, perhaps H/I/E, SC, UDP, CAI and you can hang ... But why dump that much money in a car just to HANG with a GT?

BTW, take as many shots at my V6 as you want - I have beaten tC's, I have beaten Eclipses, I have beaten many cars that you would say I couldn't. Also, within 5 months I will be either driving a 2001 SVT Cobra (320 hp, 317 tq) or a 2004 GT (260hp, 302tq). Either way, even my V6 (193 hp, 225tq STOCK) will hang with / beat you guys.

Who is this Tool coming on our boards talking trash...Dude, seriously, I got two cars that will walk all over your GT. You would have to start with my Z first. If you can hang with that, THEN and ONLY THEN will I bring out the tC for you. Bring your GT and watch it get toasted. Then go home, trade it in for a 2001 SVT Cobra, just so you can get smoked again. Hell I do you one even better, go try to score a brand new Saleen Mustang, maybe then you would have a chance...

And don't think for one minute I'm full of it either. This tC has walked an LS1 Firebird (fiance was driving not me). I've walked away from a brand new TrailBlazer SS (rated 395hp)...

Please guys, anybody that says they beat a Mustang GT in a basically stock Scion TC is an IDIOT.

Look at the numbers. Even with an automatic convertible, the GT would walk the TC. And I love the justification of "he was probably a bad driver". A bad driver does not equal two seconds of et.

I know what F/I means. I've forgotten more than you will ever know. When you wake up from your fantasy land you will realize your car is a slow P.O.S. and you should have bought the LS1 or the GT. For you to sit there and say ANY Scion will beat ANY GT stock, OR with just headers and intake you are SAAAAADLY mistaken. Why not take some classes on cars?

YOU brought up F/I AND your car, BUDDY. I said with an SC and a few other select mods you could hang with a stock GT, which is true. But why put that much money into it? I don't understand ... you end up paying more money to make your car AS FAST as a GT than you would just buying a GT or another car of a comperable speed. I figured that people didn't buy tC's or any other Scion's to soup them up ... One of my friends will be getting an SC for his Scion, we will see how he fairs ...

I simply brought up the fact that with his mods he was NOT hanging with a GT, and BARELY beating a V6. I then proceeded to say that with a few select mods he could HANG with a GT.

First off, you tried to belittle me for doing a couple of kicks on little/no traffic roads.. That's why responded with the fact you don't know where I live. This is not Cali. We don't have cop problems like you Sunny boys do.

Secondly, about the machismo comment, the dude needed to be put into his place. He made an account on SL, just so he can talk about his beloved stang and how NO tC's will ever be able to touch a GT. I felt he needed to get the wax out of his ears a little. IF ANYTHING, you should be letting him know what's up, because you are a fellow Scion Owner as well, but instead you decided to talk about how I race. Are you secretly a Mustang owner/lover that drives an xB? If so, the why on EARTH did you pick up an xB.

No offense, but I really wouldn't be braggin about a B16. Friend of mine had an older model 4 Door Teggy with a B16 swap + H/I/E and we pulled on him in the tC when the tC was all stock.

Cobra....It better be SuperCharged, cause I'll walk that too... Hahaa...the more Stang guys sign up on SL the better huh... FYI....The TrailBlazer SS is a Low 13 sec. SUV, Not 14...Do your research bud.

yeah..a 4 door...mines a hatchback, with nothing left but the dash and driver seat. come out to cali, and we'll rave a run. I can gaurantee your boosted tC will eat my N/A fumes.

and I will admit, I do love mustang GTs

The foxbody mustang GT is BY FAR, the best bang for the buck in terms of power to money ratio, over any other car ever made. My friend Todd has an old foxbody that had some ____ty H/C/Is and it was almost running 12s.

BUT I do love Scions also. They make wonderful daily drivers

YOU brought up F/I AND your car, BUDDY. I said with an SC and a few other select mods you could hang with a stock GT, which is true. But why put that much money into it? I don't understand ... you end up paying more money to make your car AS FAST as a GT than you would just buying a GT or another car of a comperable speed. I figured that people didn't buy tC's or any other Scion's to soup them up ... One of my friends will be getting an SC for his Scion, we will see how he fairs ...

I simply brought up the fact that with his mods he was NOT hanging with a GT, and BARELY beating a V6. I then proceeded to say that with a few select mods he could HANG with a GT.

I know what F/I means. I've forgotten more than you will ever know. When you wake up from your fantasy land you will realize your car is a slow P.O.S. and you should have bought the LS1 or the GT. For you to sit there and say ANY Scion will beat ANY GT stock, OR with just headers and intake you are SAAAAADLY mistaken. Why not take some classes on cars?

sure, it may not have TQ, but Im 100% positive I can out-rev you, and thats a big part of racing too. And honestly Im not sure how fast it is anymore....Its a road-race car, not a 1/4 mile queen.
