actually, i'm not taking sides and like you, i'm not personally invested. but not to nitpick, "slander" is an oral form of defamation. i think you meant "libel", which is the damaging of another's reputation through writing....which is what you've alleged is occurring here. the important thing to understand when asserting something is libelous or slanderous is that it has to be untrue. one can't slander or libel if speaking or writing the truth about another.

Actually slander and libel could both be construed out of this thread. The whole point is, none of us have 100% of the factual data so none of us are really in a position to take a stance for/against the company/customer. it is best left settled between them be it via the court system or settled privately.

I think u people should lay off and go about your problems with ZPI in a more professional mannor then broadcasting it on the forums. If $2400 is a lot of $ to u then u should not have bought a turbo kit in the 1st place. U guys sound like a bunch of whinning kindergardeners. I havent bought anything from ZPI, but i have met them and talked with them on a personal level, that are real, nice folks. U WILL GET UR TURBO KIT, OR UR MONEY BACK, now shut up about it. For god's sake, the world isn't ending. Heck i've gotten "screwed" by a large company last year( not naming) for a bout $800 worth of stuff i ordered for my car, i never even got a n e-mail. u don't see me broadcastinging it. U only live life once, get over it.

agreed, these folk have to work things out for themselves. imo, unless people are reading out loud in a room with people in it who might otherwise buy this product and decided not to do so based upon this thread, one would be hard pressed to make a slander claim. and again, even if they did, the claim would be met with a summary judgement motion asking they prove that what was said was not true
(disclaimer: the aforementioned post was not "legal advice" and should not be construed as such. you are advised to consult a local attorney if you have any questions about any legal rights which may have been violated.)
ACTUALLY, your BOTH wrong. First, if ZPI could bring a claim for defamation, it would do so based on libel, which happens to occur when defamation is written. Second, the plaintiff (ZPI), would not be met w/ a motion for summary judgment as the DEFENDANT bears the burden of proving truth in a defamation suit, which, of course, is an affirmative defense. Keep working on those law degrees fellas. Back on topic and good luck to the original poster.

This is now between Johnny's Lawyer and ZPI, that's the bottom line. None of us will ever really know 100% what happened between both parties. All I know is that I've had positive experiences with ZPI thus far and this entire thing does not phase me too much. And no I'm not sponsored/getting discounts/etc. Call me a "fanboy" or whatever the intelligencia decides to label us, but I support ZPI until they give me reason to do otherwise.
he's not sponsored... he's "endorsed"

And on top of that all of his posts have been about other peopls posts being off topic, which in turno makes his topics even more off topic... hahaha

im happy this post was made, a customer wanted a refund and never got it. If 2400 isnt alot to you, well then why is it so much to ZPI to repay. Even if the guy brought in a lawyer, it was a term of defense, why would they still not give him the money?

Its funny because all of the ZPI leg humpers are the guys who HAVE gotten parts, or who are hoping that ZPI will see their post and send them some free ____ or something. Just to keep this on topic, I am happy this post was made. Im glad my money went to my paint, and not to ZPI.

What a joke! I had asked in the past about people getting special attention at ZPI in order to promote and sponsor their stuff.... And here we go again - - - - -
This poor soldier got sucked in to the lies, poor guy.
Heck I have been screwed by Car Boutique locally when they fitted my other car with wheels with the wrong offset and then sold me DZ springs/sturts that rubbed from day 1. Even rolling the fenders did not fix the rubbing and had to switch to Tein Basic Coilovers. Who foots the bill for their scewup?? ME !!!!
Back on topic, Stick with DEZOD, that's where I am going next year. He answers all my questions fast and works with an established line of products.

Simply a company I endorse as I've had good consumer experiences with them (as have others). Try looking up the definition of the word "endorse". I support companies in which I've used their products and would like to see them grow. If that's 'Riding nutz' or 'Leg Humping' or whatever idiotic term you care to use, then so be it.

I don't see how wanting to keep the train on the track is off topic.

I'm a retail consumer just like anyone else. Unlike some, my financial situation does not facilitate the need for free parts or "hook ups". I make more than enough money to be able to afford this hobby.

If I see potential in something I'll be happy to support it and invest my time or money into it. In this case, I'm excited about the xB turbo kit and some of the new parts ZPI is working on for our cars. Again I support them until they give me a reason to do otherwise. Everything I've PAID RETAIL for has been top notch and I've enjoyed purchasing from ZPI. They have their ups and downs like any other company, but in general I'm pleased thus far.

Bash/hate/etc all you want.. it's a free country.. Speaking of free, you know Spellcheck is free right?

I haven't updated my mod list in quite a while. But I've added their headers and a few other standardized items from them (also some custom fab work), as well as the xB turbo kit which is at the powder coaters as we speak.

Anyways.... time to do something productive... gauge install time...
