I am not abusing my powers i refering to the rules. scion life does have a rule that states all posts must be usefule and relevant to the post. too many threads have gone off topic and its really becoming a pain constantly cleaning them up only to have them stray off again.

BlkSandPrlTurbotC, Peter was referring to OTHER topics in OTHER fora on ScionLife being hijacked to badmouth companies instead of staying on-topic. Don't take one phrase out of context and try to make something of it. Some folks here already know they shouldn't do that, and ALL of us SHOULD know.

Those who have already been politely cautioned should know that it WILL BE WARNINGS or worse if they hijack other threads to beat their drums in the wrong place.

Keith, you have already been cautioned about this, not for stating your opinions in the proper place, but for hijacking other threads or even starting new, redundant threads in the wrong fora specifically to attack others. Don't try to play the innocent victim of ScionLife here - won't wash.

ALL of you, if you can keep it civilized and follow the damned rules there are no problems. Get out of hand or think that somehow the rules don't apply to you, you will get shut down.

Sciontuner, moderators aren't Gestapo. If folks refuse to follow the rules because they think the rules that they agreed to in order to be allowed to post on this site don't apply to them, they get reminded. If they can't or won't learn they only get so many warnings before they have proved to us that they will always be trouble, and are cut loose.

Scott, ZPI has followed the ScionLife rules. That is what moderators enforce, the site rules. Moderators for ScionLife don't have judicial powers and should NOT drag ScionLife into the middle of potential legal problems in the real world outside of ScionLife.

Everyone: Read the rules, folks... ScionLife is NOT a referree and will not jump in the middle to settle outside problems between members. We offer a conveniant place to discuss such things, but they are between buyer and seller. They aren't three cornered deals with ScionLife moderators playing a part in the deal.

Follow the rules you agreed to. If you don't you will be called on it. Keep breaking rules, and we will only put up with so much.

With 30,000+ members, moderators can't spend their volunteer time at the rate of an hour each. Take too many resources by requiring us to keep smacking you upside the head over and over, and we cut our losses and move on. Anyone smart enough to pound sand can figure that out.

Im not playing inicent but I think its funny how you dont have a link to this area of the site in the F/I area, to protect fellow scion lifers from shady businesses. But no we have mods here that have there names in the sig and back them up and delete usefull threads.

No one bashed on streeter... We state that the 203 whp u got on the dyno w as offly low compared to what zpi is advertising at 230whp and what they got at 248whp on there personal stage 0.

But thats fine you want to ban me for my opinion then I dont wanna be on this site. Like I have said id rather go to scion-tech this site has become protect the people giving us money, over the lets protect our members. Yea lots of numbers on this site, but how many people post out of the people that have joined up.

I know people on here have very strong feelings towards the shops they support and dont support. The way I look at it is like this, They shady shops that are ripping people off now, wont be here much longer. They will lose orders, have to pay refunds, get in trouble for tax fraud, have a bad rep for blowing peoples cars up, ect.

Lets all try and keep the threads relavent to what they are actually about and someday in the near future we wont have this issue to talk about. Everything will work itself out.

In the meantime, I encourage everyone that has had a good OR bad experience to feel obligated to post them up in this section and let everyone know how it went.

But you see, in Streeter's thread, people started bashing on the kit. Ironically, there have been a few select Turbonetics powered cars that have dynoed 200whp, way below the advertised HP, yet the topic stayed on point, and no one bashed on TN's kit. Instead, we ALL chipped in and tried to help see what the problem could possibly be to cause the low dyno #. Not such the case with Streeters thread. Purely because he choose ZPI's kit, and reported a lower # than advertised, it was an automatic "I told you that kit sucked" mentality that was brought into the situation, instead of making helpful suggestions as to why his readings were low. From my knowledge, NO company has made false claims on their respected kits. Simple truth is, tC's are all different, and you can't expect one car to dyno the same in Hot Arizona as a car in Cold Michigan. I have personal opinions about other F/I applications as well, but dosen't do anyone any good for me to come into a thread, and start voicing my opinion to mock their preference on which F/I kit they choose.

 

Opinions are opinionsbut T/N is shipping there kits.

You are also not free to start a bashing thread elsewhere, or to hi-jack someone else's thread for the sole purpose of bashing anyone. Doesn't fly and you know it. Read the rules.

You've had more than one warning, Keith, and instead of warning you this last time (which would have booted you out the door) I chose to just caution you not to post a new bashing topic in another forum, and removed that topic. By now I believe I regret being that nice.

Here we are a company that has taken a good 20,000 easy from people on scionlife... and to my knowledge has only shipped 2 actual kits. And many more pending and many more wanting there money back from there tC kit. Now that company has started a xB kit with numbers just like the tC kit. A good upgrade for the buck. But how can somone be making a new turbo kit for another car... when they still havent fulfilled them for the other car.

Im not here to argue and bicker... But I want people to see what there getting themselve into. And if it wasnt for me, Munch, BlkSandPrlTurbotC, and others people would have no clue whats going on in this area. Why? because people dont look in here... Ive gotten pms from people thanking me for pointing them to this thread and pointing out to them what has been going on in other posts. ____ theres at least 3 posts in this thread saying thanks and I will not be getting a ZPI kit.

Im not bashing the kit really... Im bashing the company behind the company, and what they are doing and how they are doing things.

rhythmnsmoke is right theres alot when it comes down to a turbo kit... different cars different area, different humidty... all play a factor... How do I know this? Ive been playing with turbos since I was 16 on hondas... Im 25 now.

I guess my points are never really seen for what they are and are always looked at in a negative way. If you wanna ban me for that and this post well then so be it.

 

what also needs to be understood is that not all off a companys business is from a forum. business for companies come from other areas too search engines/advertisments etc. but unfortunatly on forums the bad only comes out. when good comes its bashed by the bad so what can be done. final warnings will have been sent out and the repricutions will be assumed if it continues.

Keith, the links are there on all pages and if folks are too dim to look, there is not much that can really be done to protect them from themselves.

Complaining that the links aren't flashing 40 point text, or saying you like the way another site's links are set up better doesn't give you a free run at starting a topic with the sole purpose of attacking ANYONE. You are old enough to understand that there are good ways to accomplish something and bad ways, and no matter how good your intentions may be, choosing the bad method won't fly.

NOWHERE have I said you can't warn folks, just use some tact and don't break the damned rules.

Responding to folks curious about a company by referring them to this sort of topic in a post is a good idea. I encourage it. Just don't do it in a sales topic, or in a topic that has NOTHING to do with that.

Sponsors have been banned from ScionLife in the past, and will be in the future. In order to ban a sponsor they will either have to egregiously break the ScionLife rules or we will have to see some sort of PROOF that they are a scam. I have seen neither in this case. (Yeah, I've seen posts from folks saying they are bad, bad, bad, and I've also seen posts for people saying they are good, good, good. I've seen nothing that offers any PROOF one way or the other, though, just fleeting words on an internet page.)

Remember, Keith, I didn't 'warn' you, only asked that you not start topics attacking other members in that forum.

ZPI didn't disappear from the thread. Company buisness is just that, company buisness. Besides, for every post made, it's taken out of context to an extent that it becomes unbelieveable how people come up with this stuff. They don't have people sitting around 24/7 just to respond to constant bashing, FROM PEOPLE WHO NEVER EVEN DEALT WITH THEM. There are MAX about 4 people, again, 4 PEOPLE who actually have an EXPERIENCE that did not favor a good condition/deal, and went sour. EVERYTHING else is just a bunch of She said He said as Tomas was saying. And quite frankly it's a bunch of BS.

How can a company be a scam if:

1) They have shipped kits (according to keith only 2, which he needs to go back and check his resources). You think this is their only sales medium...

2) On the internet forums, they don't WANT to hear anything good. So, when someone makes an attempt to post something up, it gets bashed and locked because they don't want, or can't stand to see ANYTHING ZPI related succeed. People don't want to see anything good, cause they don't want to HEAR IT. The HUMAN NATURE of people is to see something DIE rather than LIVE. This is such with SL as well.

3) They own up to anything that goes down between them and a customer. I can dig up countless threads that were negative, and then ZPI tells their side of the story, and everything is brought to light, and the original poster ends up putting his foot in his mouth. This is the 1st, I repeat 1st thread that ZPI fessed up to, as in they slipped up on. And it seems like, this is the sorta "BREAK" the haters have been waiting for. Now they have some ammo, and want to fire on all 4 cyl. at a company that has brought the SL community into the F/I world.

If 4 occurences out of 100 is enough to shutdown a company, Name me one, ONE company that went out of business because they ____ed a couple of people off. Other company faults get over looked and a slap on the wrist, and looked at as just an oversight (and yes the other companies have screwed up a few cars here and there, including Turbonetics), but when you put the 3 letters of ZPI in there....OH BOY, AH HELL BREAKS LOOSE!


Can't remember the last time I saw Dezod, Turbonetics, S&P being accused of making fake dyno #'s.

I'll chime in on this and I'm not sticking up for anyone. All that info means nothing and because you only have a two year domain doesn't mean they plan on taking off. I have a business and my dad has a business and we only carry a 1 year domain name registry. In fact I have about 10 domains that I do that with it's common. I'm also a computer tech and that's my business so don't say I don't know what I'm talking about. (that was a friendly )

On another note I just want to say that this is the thread that made my money for my turbo go to another company. I really wanted the stage1 but to many things have gone on and it's sad. I really hope this guy get's his money and the others that want it. This poor guy waited waaay long and then they hold his money till he shuts the thread down. The best thing would have been to come on here say we're so sorry, send out the money. Now there's a bunch of people that wouldn't even buy a gasket from them.

I just hope they pay him, say they're sorry and for their sake start cleaning up the messes they made or they won't be around much longer. Maybe they need a PR firm to handle this. In my experiance, when a business starts keeping their customers money that's when things turn ugly for them.
